Unique and VERY Useful
I respect Jillian immensely. She's not just a fly-by-night fitness celeb. Honestly, you can tell she's on a mission as her honest and obvious evolution along the fitness continuum is evident if you read her books from years ago.Now that she's a mom, she has an even more heartfelt tone and approach. Balance and practicality are the goals and a candid explanation of the major lifestyle evils.Read this book if:- you are just beginning a weight loss journey and want to silence the confusion and start simplyOr-you are on your way toward lifestyle rehab, dieting improvements, very active and might be bored, stuck, or stale.I bought the digital book as is my habit to save trees since I read many, many books. The digital is formatted very well without glitches and is goodBUTbecause this is a workbook of sorts it might help to order the traditional book. This book is a clear headed, concise, inspiring book that cuts through BS and leans toward truly healthful and balanced living. It's realistic and very useful. Plus, it's written in a lively conversational style.I stumbled upon it in a post-holiday stop n start month of returning to balance and healthy eating. I was frustrated because I had been reading and trying Paleo and other things. Browsing the Amazon in search for a lifeline...a new spark..I stumbled upon her book just before its launch. I was hopeful but impatient while waiting for its release. Her book launched, I read it, and was back on a normal and healthy road again within a day. Just the clarity I was seeking. Luckily I didn't languish in my confusion too long or I might have been lost. After putting her principles to action, my good moods are back, energy is even, skin is clear again and I feel like me. Damn holidays took their toll and 6 weeks to suffer! This book saved me. I have another 30 lbs to go for my goal of a nearly 100lb loss so I'm thankful for not only the timing of her new book and other programs, but for the truly helpful information in this book.Read it. It will help ignite a start or give you new fuel if your well into a fitness journey.Yes, this is not all new information but it's delivery is unique and it's content very useful.

Good book. Informative and sounds doable.
It's a good books with lots of information. I understand more about how our bodies work with the food we eat and exercise we do. Tips are practical and do not sound too impossible to commit. However, the reason I did not give it a 5-star is that I found many names of the tips not really connected to the tips themselves. Sometimes they are too short or too long. At the end of each chapter when I needed to choose the tips I wanted to incorporate, I had to go back to earlier in the chapter to read what those tips are again. Just reading the tip names alone did not ring the bell. This took a lot more time.It will also be difficult when I come to review these tips again later because the names are hard to remember. I might as well read the whole chapter again since the end-of-chapter list of tips do not help.

Love the "Check list" reviews each chapter!
I have this book both in ebook format and on audio book. I have grown more accustomed to getting digital books, and being able to carry my reference library with me easily. I also thought having Jillian's voice reading me this book would help me to recall her suggestions to mind in her own voice, and who would want to cross her and sneak a bad treat or habit?! :)That having been said, I will probably go out at some point and get the book in paper format as well. The way she wrote this book is absolutely perfect for me! I am a "check list" or "to do list" kind of girl. Each morning I jot down a quick list of my primary goals to accomplish that day. I have made my own shopping lists, so I just have to print one out on grocery day and hand write anything out of the ordinary onto my list. So I was thrilled to read this book, and find in each chapter a quick overview, or check list, of things she suggests, along with a point system you can give yourself depending on which changes you are willing to try. I think a paper copy would be the ideal format for me, because I can write in the book what will work best for me, highlight areas to be especially aware of, and make note of what things I have tried and perhaps need to adjust in some way for myself. So I will be making it into a workbook of sorts. All in all, I am so excited by this book, and think it will really be the best motivation for me to get my body back to where it needs to be! Thank you so much, Jillian!!

Eh....
I had such high hopes. Jillian seems to have a good grasp on things but the information here is more common sense than anything new. Then she has you keep track of things in the book you are willing to do so you can add the points up later. First this is difficult with the Kindle and next the end scoring pretty much means nothing. If you are looking to lose weight this isn't the book for you. If you need help to keep weight off and have no idea how to do it in a natural easy way this book might be ok but it can restrictive. I found Inuitive Eating a much better read and far more logical information that applies to daily life and a lifetime lifestyle of eating that does not call for restrictions but more going off of your actual biological hunger. This book does have some helpful workout ideas.

Great Tip Book
I really enjoyed this book. When I bought it, I wasn't sure what to expect or what the book was about. I liked all of the tips that Jillian gave and was happy that it wasn't another weight loss book, where I was going to have to follow a certain eating plan. Prior to buying this book, I was reading another well known gimmicky book and did not like the program at all. I did skim over a couple of chapters of this book, that did not pertain to me, such as working out or eating at work, as I already work out 5 to 6 days per week and I am a SAHM, so don't go to a regular job. I did get a lot out of the first chapter, where I was able to calculate my BMR, to figure out how many calories I should be eating per day to maintain or lose weight. Based upon my BMR, I can eat "real" foods and make better choices and not be starved. I also got a lot out of the tip she gave for people like me, who have around 10 pounds or less to use. The only thing I was disappointed with is, I wish there were more recipes in the book.

Myth slamming, practical and thought provoking.
Liked facts, writing style and practical advice. Didn't like detailed exercise descriptions (need to look them up to get it), and that the book hasn't been edited for the UK market, meaning lots of references either aren't relevant, helpful or recognisable (such as product and people references). Still really enjoyed the book however, and certainly feel there are life changers which will help me enhance my lifestyle for the long term.
