Rage2 Elite Flash Drive - Fast, reliable, 1 TB huge capacity
I've bought the Rage2 before in 128 GB to 512 GB sizes and always was pleased. It has one of the fasted writes on the market and so far none has died on me. So I trust this 1TB flash drive. I was able to copy about 45K files ranging in size from 1K to 2GB, over 350GB total, in less than two hours from 512GB Rage2 to 1TB Rage2 Elite! Some reviews comment the drive is too slow. I'm not an expert but I do know we can't expect SSD speeds from a flash drive. Apparently too, each file read/write access requires a certain overhead so copying a lot of small files will take more time that a few huge files. I reviewed the differences between my flash drives. Both used exFAT format but the 1TB had allocation unit sizes (minimum file size increment per file) twice as large as my 256GB drive, 256KB vs 128KB. So the same data on my smaller drive takes up more space on my doubled capacity drive. My speed copying large 2GB files was about 220MB/s. That's not as fast as a Samsung T7 USB 3.2 (300MB/s) but much faster than a Samsung EVO 256GB Micro SD card (70MB/s). This 1TB drive shines with storage of large files but if you're storing lots of small files then probably this is too large speedwise for you. Don't be fooled by unknown brands. Most advertised huge memories for ridiculously low prices are actually lower capacities falsely formatted. Also, many of the real brands don't advertise their write speeds because they're not as fast as this one.

Worth the money
I've tried some budget 512 Gig thumb drives and they've been pretty worthless. This drive is fast and reliable. No, not as fast as the specs, but drives never are. This outperforms the others I've tried, though, and I'm very pleased with it. I've moved very large file directories with reasonable dispatch and no dropped files, as far as I can tell.

“Does everything well...and fast!”
My whole world is on thumb drives, and I’ve owned every major brand available. Needed a large capacity one to take files and photos from home to school, and share across many computers. Got this one at a pretty good price, and it came with a 3-year warranty, so I felt comfortable with the quality, and set my expectations high. First thing I noticed is how small it is closed. Really nice. Looks cool, for sure. Second thing was that it transfers files much, much faster than my older thumb drives. Finally, I appreciated just how much stuff this tiny gem holds. I have all my files and photos from the last thirty years—from school and home—and the drive says I have 200 gb free space left! Looks to be pretty durable (my old SanDisk titanium is still my favorite), and I can’t think of any negatives after two weeks, so there you are. **** UPDATE (July1, 2019) **** OK, after putting 300 GB of precious data on this drive, yesterday, I accidentally tossed it in the washer, in the pocket of my jeans. They were seriously stained, so I soaked them all day, and dried them on 'hot' for an hour. Out they came. There was my Patriot--last thing out of the dryer, and hotter than a sunburn. In short, it fired up and worked perfectly. I would not recommend doing this—and maybe I was very lucky—but thanks, Patriot. You make an extremely durable little thumb drive! Whew…!

Cheap, fast, lots of space!
This 1TB SuperSonic Rage Elite USB Flash drive from PATRIOT memory is DEFINITELY the best USB flash drive I have had the pleasure of using. I consistently get above 105MB/s when writing to this drive large files. I found this to be the CHEAPEST name-brand drive on the market by at least $60 in the 1TB arena. This hasn't been out for years, otherwise I would comment more on the durability, but for the time I've used it, I find it flawless. Other PATRIOT USB flash memory products I've used have been top-tier for the year they were released; this 1TB SuperSonic Rage Elite does not disappoint in the least.

Good capacity and nice and small, but not as fast as expected
I have to quality the "fast": while it's fast in burst mode when writing files, like so many other flash drives, it seems to pause, going VERY slowly, after periodic bursts of activity. It's probably doing some internal bookkeeping during these pauses. Regular hard drives don't seem to have this problem.

Excellent High-Speed Thumb Drive
These Patriot Supersonic Rage Elite thumb drives are highly appreciated. I can't think of another product on Amazon that really meets this particular need of providing what is, seemingly, a quality and reliable thumb drive, but with a decent hardware design, rather high read *and* write speeds for a thumb drive, in a form factor which isn't overlarge or dramatically more expensive. The only reason to consider buying this product is if the extra read/write speed is desired, otherwise one should consider cheaper options like SanDisk's great lineup. But when those features are needed, this compares quite favorably to products like SanDisk's Extreme Pro Solid State Flash Drive (a bit faster, much larger, a bit higher build quality, notably more expensive).

Great Option for PS5 extended storage
I have used three different USB thumb drives as extended storage for PS5. This one was the best option. It's fast, it's compact, and it's cheaper than the only other viable thumb drive I've tested which was from PNY. If you want to avoid taking up space on your PS5 SSD with PS4 games, this is the drive for you. I know some people like flashy designs but basic black is fine for me. How it performs is what matters most and this performs well. Can't recommend it enough. I only wish the 1TB option wasn't so expensive. It's more than double the price of the 512GB drive and you can't use two 512GB thumb drives at the same time on PS5.

Great product, and the performance was as expected but I've found the materials used to be a little cheap, i.e. cheap plastics, cheap rubberised coating (which might melt in more humid climates). The opening and closing of the drive also relies on nothing more than friction, which may also wear over time, leading to awkward use. A detent or similar would prevent this, but was not found on this drive. All things considered, you're only paying for the speed.

I tested this USB drive against my old 64 GB PNY USB 3.0 drive using a disk performance app and it blew it out right of the water for sequential speed - for both reads and writes. This thing blazes along - it is so much faster than my old drive. It also "dips" in speed noticeably less than the old one when copying data across. For around £40 it offers huge capacity and great speed. Copying files from my laptop to desktop and the reverse is now a relative pleasure. I have encrypted it and this slows it down a little, but not much. I think this is a great value-for-money purchase and I heartily recommend it as one of the best value tech buys I have yet made.

It is a super speed product.

Seems to work very well - the transfer write speed was roughly what the advertised write speed is 100mb/s write speed and it seems faster than a cheap usb drive and the overall quality of the thumb drive seems nice. Out of the box there is no encryption which I dont mind but others might need that. One thing to note is that the write speeds apparently vary depending on the capacity of the drive which I didnt realise. As in the lower capacity drives have slower theoretical max write speeds.
