Dr. Toldson tells the truth
We have accepted bad data that has driven policy about young Black males and others for far too long. We need to step back, ask an additional set of questions, and seek better data.

Very Insightful
As an educator whose career has been primarily devoted to early childhood programs in public schools in predominantly African-American communities, I find this book to be very insightful! Dr. Toldson uses rhetorical questions, humor, and facts to debunk myths that many educators have upheld for years that have impeded on the academic success of many students of color. I highly recommend educators of all races to read this thought-provoking book that challenges many biases in our education system.

Glad It’s Now On My Shelves!
So glad this book was recommended to me. A must read for educators, researchers, and curious parents. Let’s shift the paradigm for discussing data pertaining to Black children. Toldson holds our hand through the process of doing that.

That almost all of what the "stats" state is false, as in downright lying.
Awesome in the true sense of the word. If you want your eyes opened to political racism, read this book.

Reader Are Leaders
Alternative data driven by actual point of view, of misnomers that has long permeated the African-American experience, because someone states a misnomer very few question how factual the statement is.
