Good info revealed
I admit I was taken aback when I started flipping through this ultra thin book. In the beginning there were several pictures of the interior of the museum and you can barely see the painting. Then there were little sketches that looked like doodles. Then it ended with some paintings. Then I realized this book shows the process of art. It starts with the final scene of the product then shows the absolute beginning steps then progresses from there. To me it show something similar to RB Kitaj's first marks and Francis Bacon's first marks. Bacon says when you start from a blank canvas the first marks have a vitality to it. You realize how this is true for painters no matter what genre they work in. This is a peek behind the scenes and the fact that it's not explained makes it more wonderful. You discover it.
