Are these reusable? As in could I use them year after year, or would I need a new set each year after writing my students' names on?

i have had the same set for 6 years. You write on them with sharpie, erase with dry erase marker and magic eraser and then you're good to go!

I am missing a red six - don't know if it was missing originally (i didn't count) or my student lost it - only used once!!!! can i buy one of them?

You can make one by an ice cream stick or buy a red pencil and stick the number at Cause i dont think you can buy one

Do they break easily? I teach middle school and there are always a few students who snap pencils in half, and are destructive.

They are pretty sturdy. I used them with my teacher education candidates, who were adults, but would not have hesitated to use them with my former middle school students. With that said, once the new teams are determined, I would pick up the sticks quickly so that they do not have the time to “play” with them.

These look great. am i right in thinking it would have to be groups of 6? i do 8 groups of 4. can i do that with these? 6 is too many in a group.

Hi there. I don’t think it would work for 8 groups. You’d run out of symbols, colors, or numbers as there are 6 of each. They work for me with using it for smaller groups (take out the blue pencils and you can do groups of 5, take out the yellow ones and do groups of 4, etc.). Unfortunately I don’t think there’s a way to use them to make more than 6 groups. Hope this helped.
