purchased these for my nephew and niece to use at a pool party once the weather warms up here in the Pacific Northwest, and they were a great choice. The plastic case I received had a production flaw. Out of three, one hinge was fully broken and another was partially broken. They’re just thin little strips of plastic that make the front and back of the case one piece, but they’re pretty important strips of plastic. It’s likely that the case would have broken into two pieces quickly with use. I don’t think it would stay closed very well as two pieces which would ruin the streamlined portability of this waterproof playing card set. I was disappointed, but I requested an exchange hoping the next one would be better. I didn’t even have to return the original set and was sent a free replacement. I haven’t used the cards to actually play anything yet, but they’re standard sized and shuffle pretty well. They’re partially transparent with an opaque area that protects the identity of each card. It’s certainly a unique look for a deck of cards!

These are perfect for the beach on a windy day! We were having trouble playing with regular cards as they were all blowing away, then I remembered I had thrown these in my beach bag! They are a bit heavier and much more durable. My kids got water and sand all over them but they wiped clean with the towel. They are stable and the numbers are large. I highly recommend these for your next family vacation!

Exactly what you'd think they are. I can't believe more card companies don't offer a laminated version of their decks! Genius for vacation, boat, beach and pool days, or when you know you'll have a few too many drinks and don't want to risk any spilt drinks!
