Combo is excellent for the price if you look at what similar mattresses and frames cost. The hybrid foam/spring mattress itself seems very nice, much softer and conforming than a solid foam mattress. It comes in a surprisingly small but extremely heavy box. It's vacuum packed folded then rolled. Once the bag is cut open, it quickly returned to original size and shape. I was a little worried about it being folded in half then rolled, but it had no signs of the fold after just an hour opened. Frame (arrives in a separate box) is OK, but not quite as heavy duty as a similar one I purchased separately for a different queen size bed. The reason I'm taking off a star is because you really need to put something under the mattress on top of the frame like thin hardboard or plywood because the bottom of the springs are only supported by the cover. Take a look at the diagram in the product description and you'll see what I mean. I could see the springs easily wearing through the cover because the large openings in the frame's platform. So in that regard, it's not a perfectly matched combo. Note that a solid foam mattress wouldn't have this potential issue. The manufacturer could address this by putting something more substantial under the springs like a layer of rigid foam. But buying a couple of pieces of 1/8" hardboard for the platform wasn't that big of a deal (I've done it on a different bed as well).

Completely stunned by the quality of this mattress set. I purchased it as a quick guest bed setup on a budget price. The frame came in one box - the mattress all compressed in a roll in the other. It was easy to move, so this would work in tight spaces where you cannot carry a traditional mattress in to. I really was expecting a pull-out bed sort of value, but was amazed at this bed. It's a really nice comfort level - not too soft, not too hard and my kids were able to put the frame and the mattress together in just a few minutes. The frame breaks down into easy-store pieces so I don't have to struggle with the traditional, long piece bed frame. The mattress had no smells - and I'm really sensitive about that. It plumped up within a few hours and was ready to use. My guest slept on the mattress with no complaints. My partner tried it, too, and said it was great. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of this set. Highly recommended.

We have had this bed for almost 2 years now, and I recommend it to everyone! It is medium soft/firmness, so not too hard, but nothing that makes you ache in the morning when you wake up. SUPER COMFY. It came rolled up in a box, so I was a little skeptical, but after a few hours of being "released" it was ready to use. If you buy a basic bed skirt it covers the metal stand that it goes on top of -- no box spring necessary. We have had at least 6-8 guests stay in it, and they all said they slept great. Amazing deal! I would recommend it for a guest or full-time bed :)

The mattress and the frame came in separate boxes of up to 5ft tall but I could wrap my arms around it which made me worry if the quality was even worth it. The mattress was shrink-wrapped and I had to build the frame which was surprisingly very easy to follow and easy to do. After I was done, the frame stands about 1ft tall so there's a lot of under-the-bed space. The mattress, once taken out of its bag and had absorbed the air, was very comfortable even without a spring box. Overall, the frame was sturdy even if three people slept in it all at once & it's actually very comfortable too. I do recommend this for people who wants to buy a simple bed for a guest bedroom (as I did) or for people who wants a simple bed to themselves. This will definitely last for awhile. I'm glad I got this one off of Amazon.

I need a bed really bad as my old one was shot and ready for the trash. I didn't have much money saved to buy a bed. For the price, it serves it purpose in a few ways. The frame is sturdy and so simple to set up. No tools needed. And easily done alone. The mattress came in a separate box. It was rolled up and compressed. It was easy to get it out of the box and unwrap it. It only took a couple of hours to form to it's size. But it is rock hard. I mean slab of concrete hard. But I knew after reading the reviews it was going to be quite firm. Only I wasn't prepared for just how hard it is. I had to pad it down with 3 heavy and thick winter blankets and a rush mattress topper or cotton 2" inches thick still wasn't enough. I had to purchase 2 inexpensive foam toppers (not memory foam) 2" thick. They turned out to be good buys. Now added with the other mattress topper it's a pillow top and I'm sleeping much nicer. I don't really recommend this bed set (or at least the mattress) as if I had just held out a short while longer and spent a couple hundred more I would have gotten a better deal. I do recommend the frame as a separate purchase.

I took the leap and purchased this bed sight unseen, based solely upon the reviews on Amazon. I can confirm the positives that people have said on here. You will not be disappointed in this bed. Shipping was a breeze, there are 10 wing nut screws to tighten, 8 of which are attached to the metal frames, so no hassle at all.The mattress comes tightly rolled and after you setup the frame, you cut the tape holding the roll in place and after a day or two, it fully extends to a queen size mattress. It is firm with no motion to disturb a neighbor laying next to you and the pillow top provides the right amount of softness to fit to your body nicely.This bed is a good long-term investment if you are planning to buy a home and need a quality spare mattress for guest room(s). But it is equally up to the task of providing a comfortable nights sleep as your primary bed as well.

This is a great deal. We did not want to pay the full price for a set. The cheap mattresses are just that- cheap. This bad is great. It is comfortable and holds up well. We have purchased four of these in the past 8 years. Only one did not hold up- and that is because my sons continually wrestled on it. It really took a beating, but it lasted several years. We replaced it. They no longer wrestle on the bed. We have one in each of our son's rooms and one in the spare room. Both my husband and myself have used the spare bed when sick, etc. we slept quite well.
