Bought these to make some fancy knife handles. Had it recommended to test for lead. This knife popped positive. DO NOT USE. LEAD IS NOT SAFE TO HANDLE.

Very Beautiful
First off- this is a blank- so you need to put your own handle on the knife to make it functional.The pattern welding is pretty, very nice effect. The grind is a bit asymmetrical which throws off the balance a bit, but I suppose that doesn't matter in a blade this size. As with any blank you need to put your own edge on it.All in all 4/5 for aesthetics (really, quite beautiful "damascus" patterning). I haven't stress tested this blade so I dont know how the edge will hold up.
