The ugly cries I had????? So many…. Lordy, I just love that…. I didn’t know if I would ever recover from the highly emotional and gut-wrenching scenes I read in the pages of this book. I cried so hard, I practically had snot running down my face which is interesting because “snot” plays a very emotional and hilarious role later in the book.I’m not one for spoilers so I will do my very best not to write any in my review. I’ll stick to how this book made me “FEEL”. I read Careless by Michelle Horst, (Now Michelle Heard) a while ago but didn’t write a review at that time. So, I read it again to refresh my memory a few days ago.I swear to all that is holy that I loved it even more the second time around if that’s even possible. I cried “SO FREAKING HARD”. I’ve often said that this author has the ability to spin her stories with such depth, emotion and heart and “Careless” is no different. She just keeps going deeper and deeper inside herself and pulls out the best storylines, heroes and heroines and supporting characters.Okay, this is what I LOVE so much about this book….. Careless delivers a plethora of ooey gooey “feels” that just stick to you like the gum on the bottom of your sneaker on a hot humid day but don’t mind carrying around with you. Emotions that will have you searching for a new box of tissues over and over again….Jaxson West and Leigh Baxter….. What a terrific pairing these two were.The hero, Jax, is a funny, outspoken dirty talking alpha male and is sexy sexy sexy…. But Jax has baggage he’s dealing with from a difficult upbringing early on in his life. One he continues to struggle with.The heroine, Leigh, is a heart surgeon, a cardio-thoracic surgeon to be exact and is one of the youngest there is in that field. She was made for that career. Her parents are also surgeons as well. Leigh is a genius who sees things in black and white. There are no grey areas with her. Explanations are based on facts, evidence, not supposition….ALWAYS. That way of thinking comes into play in a very personal, very big way in this book. What I love most about her is that she’s so strong and opinionated and takes no crap…. Especially from Jax. So much so that I found myself wanting to fist bump her more than once…….Tragic circumstances have them thrown together and ripped apart in a single night. One night of unbridled passion and angst sends them on their separate ways. Both hearts ripped apart by unforeseen tragic events. Then, six years later, times of trouble are in abundance and they find themselves thrown back in each other’s lives.Marcus is the founder of the Screw Crew and Jaxson’s best friend. Marcus and Jax have been best friends, like brothers since they were young. They share an unbreakable bond of friendship, loyalty, brotherhood and love. So much deep love. Not in a romantic way but a strong connection nevertheless…. There is NOTHING they would not do for each other.Times of trouble are abundant in Careless. Tragedy of all kinds hit the Screw Crew and their families. A fight they are determined to win, no matter what it takes.What happens from here, I’m not saying… But I will say this, I have never read a book/series where a group of friends stand by one another like the Screw Crew does. Unwavering strength and unforgiving forces of nature to be reckoned with if you get in there way or try and hurt one of their friends, new or old. But even during all of this uncertainty, and emotional moments, there is also so much humor.These people take their friendships/family relationships very seriously. They always have each other’s backs. Even those who are new friends. I found myself overwhelmed in a good way, with feeling of wanting that same connection with these people. These are an extraordinary bunch of people doing extraordinary things for those they love, new and old and never ever give up hope when it feels that all hope is lost.Can Jax and Leigh find the strength for acceptance, forgiveness and healing within each other and with those within their circle, their struggles, both personal and professional, and let the love that has consumed them for years, even apart, take them to newfound happiness? It’s just too good to tell you. I won’t ruin it for you.We also get to read about all the other members we’ve read about in the first two books. Logan, Carter and Rhett….. I just love them all.Some hysterically funny little teasers for you that I know you will just love when you read this book involve, cross dressing chunks of hunk, a karaoke scene that will have you bawling your eyes out and laughing at the same time, a cemetery scene that is both gut-wrenching and hilarious, a sponge bath like no other and a little girl named Danny with a penchant for soothing someone in a time of need and for avoiding “snot”.I’ve read each book in the series so far and have loved them all. Heartless and Reckless are the first two books and I would recommend reading them first. Get in on the fun and get to know the “Screw Crew” by grabbing your copy of Careless TODAY! This series is a top pick for me for 2018.Even though I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, I also purchased my own copy to support the author and this absolutely FANTASTIC book that just threw me into a tailspin of emotions. Up next: Book 4, Ruthless…. Looking forward to reading Marcus & Willow’s story. ️ ♥

This book is emotional because it's love infinite. The love of friendship and first love, fear of loss and love. This book made we rent to go find them and hug it out. I love Danny and what she brings to the guys. Love miss sebastian and the rename song just heart melting and eye leaking. Great read that I'm so wrapped up in these guys and their life. Just what a book needs to be an escape. I felt it through it. I wanted to know mia letter lol.. love it.. can't wait for rhett... he's a legend. On to Marcus ugh love him

This book is as good as book 1. It's got all the feels and is well written. I can definitely recommend this books. Cane wait to move on to the next book

This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster.Definitely recommend the series. Could not put the book down I even teary eyed.

This is Jaxson and Leigh’s story but Marcus is a dominant side character in this book. If you have read Reckless then you know what Marcus is dealing with and it had me in tears over and over again. Jaxson’s relationship with Marcus goes beyond friendship and beyond brotherhood.“I took it all –the good, the bad, the broken –without fail. I took it all, so he didn’t have to carry the full weight of his f....d-up past alone.”Jaxson is abrasive, arrogant and careless but we also get to see another side of him. One where he is supportive, warm, caring and thoughtful. When he meets Leigh there is definitely a spark and you can’t help but laugh.“No, it’s definitely not a crush. This is more like that feeling you get when you have an itchy bite under your foot, or when you sit in gum.”Leigh is a brilliant, feisty genius who doesn’t quite believe in the romantic kind of love. Their back and forth is hilarious but all it takes is a spilt second for the world to turn upside down.“I feel the hopelessness knowing there’s nothing I can do to ease her pain.”We are introduced to a couple of new characters and I absolutely loved them. They fit in seamlessly with the old gang. This book might be my new favorite of the series but honestly I love them all. I recommend reading the books in order to get a better understanding of all the characters and their stories. Don't know how to describe what I am feeling after reading this book, its so well written, nothing I say will do justice to it. I still have tears in my eyes as I write this, this book has sooo much emotion, makes you cry, makes you angry, makes you happy and the brilliantly funny situations where you have tears of laughter. Such a good book. Please let me know if any of your books is made in a movie, I would definitely watch it. Love all you stories. Will always recommend your books. :)

This series is emotional, be prepared. I don't understand why every couple had to suffer for so many years to finally get together, but I guess this is the motto for the series. These boys, they love fiercely and endlessly. Leigh and Jax are perfect together like all the others. I totally recommend.

Each book I read in this series i think the heroine in it is my favourite & then I read the next book. So far Leigh is my favourite after this book. I liked Jax but I think Logan still wins so far. Can’t wait for the next book.

The best of the lot so far...the emotions...thr pain...the love...you really get the feels. And its beautiful. Simple and beautiful!
