tado° Smart AC Control - Digital Air Conditioner Control

This is an amazing product . and the installation was so fast... I was a bit scared as my a/c are from the Philippines but they were all recognized immediately. Just one bad point, the usage on the remote itself (so not with siri / tado app) is not easy at all... the touch screen is not responsive enough and the navigation is hard.

I did look at other AC remote controls and the tado one was £30 cheaper so I bought one to give it a try, this was my first Tado device and it’s very easy to setup and configure due to the tados intuitive interface. This now allows me to remotely control my heating/cooling air conditioner from my phone which is just perfect for my gym which is remote from the house. Would definitely recommend this product.

Works well & connected to my AC unit easily enough, links to apple HomeKit & is very responsive. I find the main unit a bit awkward to use as you have to hold a couple of fingers on the device then press on etc. I think it would be better if there was just a simple on/off button but i assume the main purpose of this is to link to the app/HomeKit & voice control which it does well. Personally i think it's a bit overpriced for what it is as before i was using a switchbot hub (£20) to do the exact same thing, Admittedly the tado app & HomeKit integration is a lot slicker.

The product is unfit for purpose. The WiFi elements of the software cannot be configured manually. It does not replicate the existing remote controller despite indications suggesting that it has recognised the make and type of both it and the AC unit. Issues with the WiFi mean that it is not possible to control the AC unit from anywhere other than the room/building it is installed in.....which makes it a bit pointless! Basically it achieves less than the existing remote controller because the scheduling option is not as good. Another big problem is the inability to add a room and then assign a device to that room. Even the tech support guys say this cannot be done......instead a device must be added first and then it should be assigned to a room that doesn't exist.....hmmm. If a room is subsequently created and a device is successfully assigned to it, it is not possible to alter that assignment. Any changes in this regard have to be referred to tech support for them to do it on your behalf. Really? The install instructions provided on the app are sparse and inadequate in that the 2 stage procedure does not work. Downloading the Tado manual from the website gives 14 pages of poorly crafted hybrid English with graphics bearing a token resemblance to actual screen displays but not enough to be accurately relied on.

My Smart AC controller arrived today and installation of the device on the app was not completing. The problem was that the the controller could not be installed on the app using iOS. That problem has now been resolved and I have been able to fully install the controller. It works well and will be very useful when returning home on hot days to cool down the home before arrival. Great to have heating (radiators) and cooling with AC all controllable remotely with the app.

On its own the control via the app is a little confusing, the control panel on the device is a little better but not great. Was easy to set up and does work, however its smart integration is hit and miss, often not working (but this may be down to the smart system i'm using). We got it so we could control an aircon unit remotely. Does the job, if a little inconsistantly.

This unit took me about 10 minutes to install and update, and it worked immediately to control the Mitsubishi AC in my bedroom. It added easily to Apple Home and Alexa too. Very happy and also quite surprised at the ease of setup.

This little GEM works a treat on my Toshiba air con, no more worrying that it's been left on, simply check the APP. However don't use the remote that came with the unit as the Taco unit doesn't receive it only transmits a signal, so stick it in a drawer and don't use it. I've had no issues with it. switch it to my desired temp for a set time and set the schedule on a base temp so once the timer runs out the unit reverts back to whatever setting you want to leave it on,

La aplicación muy completa y hace su papel perfectamente. Tiene un porrón de mandos preconfigurados pero no Daitsu (de las más vendidas en España). 2 horas para grabarle las 260 veces q le tienes q dar con el mando. Y no te equivoques. Eso si una vez terminas, una gozada. Llegar a casa y q este fresquta en verano y calentita en invierno, no tiene precio. En la versión actual (tengo ya 3) en el primer toque de mando lo reconoce. El problema es que no tiene la opción que hace que mueva el aire arriba y abajo. Se pone a moverlo y en la habitación no quería q se moviese. Otro punto en contra es la opción táctil de apagar. En teoría tocas durante dos segundos y se apaga. Bueno, pues va cuando quiere. Respecto a la integración con Alexa va genial!!

Ormai due anni fa ho iniziato a sperimentare con la domotica volendo rendere sempre più connessa la casa. Inutile dire che gli apparecchi tado sono stati dei compagni di viaggio da due anni fa fino ad ora. All'inizio ero stato catturato grazie ad un'offerta per il cyber monday e da li ho detto proviamo come vanno. Inutile dire che mi sono trovato benissimo. FACILITA' DI INSTALLAZIONE I controller si installano con assoluta facilità tramite l'applicazione ufficiale Tado e seguendo le istruzioni (che sono chiare e dettagliate) si riconosce tramite una foto il controller posseduto in modo tale che Tado si possa interfacciare correttamente con lo splitter. L'unico neo che posso trovargli è che il connettore alla presa elettrica è un po' ingombrante e quindi è difficile mascherarlo se non utilizzando le spine dietro qualche mobile. I dispositivi si possono anche attaccare al muro o ad un'altra superficie tramite gli adesivi presenti nella scatola (finora il dispositivo più vecchio è ormai appeso da circa due anni e per il momento non da segno di staccarsi). La connessione al wifi nel mio caso è avvenuta senza problemi e non ho mai avuto problemi di disconnessioni. CONNESSIONE Al dispositivo per essere connesso senza problemi al condizionatore serve che sia posto quasi esattamente di fronte allo splitter altrimenti il segnale non viene trasmesso correttamente (esattamente come con il telecomando originale). UTILIZZO Facile da utilizzare tanto che una volta programmato (così come si farebbe per un termostato) ce ne si dimentica e si fa fare tutto a lui in automatico. Principalmente utilizzo l'app ufficiale anche se molte volte preferisco controllare tutto da apple home kit (integrando il sistema in scene personalizzate). Per il resto l'app ufficiale è sicuramente molto più completa delle possibilità disponibili su home kit cosa che ho trovato scomoda in quanto se volessi cambiare la modalità del mio condizionatore da Home Kit posso cambiare solo su tre posizioni: Aria Condizionata, Pompa di Calore o OFF mentre dall'app posso impostare anche il deumidificatore ed il semplice ventilatore. ASSISTENZA Mi è capitato una volta di rivolgermi all'assistenza tado per un problema nell'installazione e normalmente in circa 15min mi hanno sempre risposto in modo esaustivo tramite chat dal loro sito ufficiale.

Tout d'abord j'ai des climatisations DAIKIN de 2006. Télécommande reconnu et j'ai tous les menus. L'application Tado est bien foutu, j'utilise Meross également, et Maison avec Apple mais je n'ai pas encore de concentrateur donc obligé de passer par les applications fabriquant. Pour le moment les applications des fabriquant sont mieux que Maison. Que dire de Tado, la synchronisation et reconnaissance du boitier, suffit de suivre ce que l'application vous dit de faire, c'est donc très simple. L'application est complète, possibilité d'avoir un abonnement, mais sans abonnement vous pouvez déjà piloter de là ou vous voulez (ON/OFF) + tous les menus de la télécommande (volets, réglage température, auto, soufflerie, chaud froid ventilation déshumidificateur) vous pouvez faire vos plannings de la semaine, et ça c'est top du top, je me calque à mes heures creuses et nos horaires de travail et lever du matin. Le mode absent c'est top avec géolocalisation, vous êtes à 500m de chez vous l'application vous demande de basculer en mode Maison = allumé les consignes de chauffage. Vous partez on vous demande de passer en mode Absent = bon faut s'assurer qu'il n'y a personne, mais pour cela, suffit de rajouter des utilisateur, chose faite = madame et la fille, le dernier qui part reçois la notif Absent (a vous de mettre le choix quand il y a personne, moi j'ai mis chauffage à 18° mais vous pouvez stopper tout). Ce que j'apprécie c'est le boitier, un peu d'affichage digital, mais ce boitier est aussi un capteur, il mesure la température mais aussi le taux d'hygrométrie et ça c'est cool. De ce que j'ai compris, Tado prends des informations du web, pour savoir s'il fait froid dehors ou pas, si c'est ensoleillé, et ajuste votre chauffage. Bref avis déposé après 1 journée, je suis super content, espérons que ce soit fiable dans le temps car pour rembourser 80€ sur les économies d'énergie je doute qu'en 3 mois ce soit rentabilisé. A mesurer. J'ai acheté un seul boitier car j'étais pas sur que mes climatisations seraient compatibles, oui j'ai 4 splits dans 4 pièces, mais vu que cela fonctionne au top, j'en ai pris un 2e, les autres viendront petit à petit car ça reste un budget. Tado = le câble entre l'alimentation et le boitier devrait être plus long (+1m) De 79.90€ on est passé à 99€ en 3 semaines = Honte à vous !!!

Dit najaar een airco geplaatst gekregen. Omdat ik alles al van Tado heb, is het een logische keuze om ook de airco versie aan te schaffen. Wel even wennen dat dit een bedrade versie is, maar niet storend. Het mooie is dat ik nu overal de temperatuur, luchtvochtigheid etc goed in beeld heb en nog beter kan reageren. Product doet wat het moet doen.
