**Q: If I hook up say, four heater strips to this controller, theoretically how many amps (not amp hours) would the unit draw?**
A: This will depend on how high the controller is set on each channel and the size of each dew heater strip. The larger strips can draw about 1 to 1.5 amp on a normal night and the smaller ones would use only milliamps. So a typical night running 4 heaters would draw about 2 to 3 amps for most set ups.

**Q: can i connect the thousand oaks directly to my celestron 8 in. evolution for power with a usb adapter or do i need to buy a power tank?**
A: I believe you'll need more power than a USB typically supplies. In my case I use my mine at home and use a power supply I purchased here at Amazon. It is 120v AC and has a 12v DC lighter adapter that I plug the Thousand Oaks unit into. I ran a 3 plug adapter on a short cord (also purchased here) that is strapped to the leg of my telescope tripod and plug the scope, adapter and laptop into it. That way I have one cord from the scope setup to the house, instead of three all over the ground. Hope that helps.

**Q: What is required amperage to run unit using a a/c to D/c transformer?**
A: I think it would depend on the total maximum power draw of your heater strip/element configuration. A single small heater may draw well under an amp while four large strips could draw closer to 6 - 8 amps in total.

**Q: How do you disable battery saver feature? I’m running it on a dedicated dattery and don’t need to worry about battery drain.**
A: You can turn off this function when using a dedicated 12 volt battery  factory Default is turned or =on. You can also go to  Thousand oaks  Web and they will also have some info as well.
