This is the best model duct knife offered by Klenk, in my opinion.
This is the second Klenk duct knife I have purchased, the first being the model with the wooden handle. Realizing the potential of having a dagger type knife with both a serrated and straight edge, I decided to try this model (with the rubberized handle). The wooden handled model has proven to be very difficult to sharpen (meaning the straight edge, the serrated edge is quite keen). This high friction grip model was very easy to sharpen (using my favorite sharpener of all time--the Rada. A Rada sharpener will work wonders on any sort of blade I used it for, from heavy duty survival knives to the delicate scandigrind Moras), and the serrated side is quite sharp to begin with. There is a subtle difference in the two models: The wood one is 3 mm in thickness, whereas the rubber one is 2.5 mm. The rubber model also seems to be a bit more nicely finished, but is not full tang--about 1/2 tang I would estimate. Its pouch (sheath) is decent and probably sturdy enough. If any reader is interested in what these knives have to offer (that long serrated edge is very impressive!) I would recommend the rubber handled model--DA71010d--based on my experience with both.

Nice TOOL !!
Bad to the bone ! Sweet dagger for trade work. I jam it into just about anything to cut and pry and this is a budget blade so I don't feel like I am about to wreck a overly priced tool. This is what you need to be a trade worker and have to get something to unlatch or pop apart and or cut or even just to get into a plenum and fetch. The sky is the limit. The price is amazing. The look is amazing. It fit in my hand and feelsLike I could depend on it for my life ifSome danger were to arise and catch meDefenseless I definitely could use this to hold my own and get to safety to call the authorities. My employer outlaws it on my person but it's got tool printed on it soCan sneak it past security in my tool box as a legit tool. But one day they willBe on to me and make another rule to make guys like me have to justify my hammers, saws, razors, putty knifes, and punches. It's eventually going to be so difficult to get work done that this will be outlawed everywhere. But it's a low budget tool that works well.

Great Knife, Not So Great Sheath
I have owned many knives and this one is awesome. The blade and handle seem very solid. The rubber grip material is awesome and the shape fits to my hand perfect. The blade is extremely sharp and is nice because one side is serrated. The only thing that could use improvement is the sheath. It is kind of cheap and the velcro strap the holds in the handle is extremely flimsy, this is why I gave it four stars not five.

Best knife ever...
No nonsense cutter for all conditions. I use it around the garden and it's very handy in the tool bag.At a good price, good steel, and starting to make a leather sheath for it ;-)

Multi function
I used this knife the other day to cut open bags of mulch on the tooth side and it was a breeze. One large X across the face and pull up the plastic. I've used to cut insulation on the job, minor drywall shaving to open up electrical boxes. The blade side stayed sharp longer than expected and overall this is a quality blade. With a different handle in a sporting goods store this is a $35-50 knife. Oh and if you ever needed it in self defense it is lightweight and ergonomic handle has confident control.Def recommend for almost any reason. Zombie apocalypse, tin cutting, insulation, pruning, heck it probably is an awesome birthday cake knife. I'll try that too. Keep it sharp and clean for years of use.

Make Insulation Cuts Easy
I had to insulate a garage, about 16 rolls just for the walls. This is product was a godsend. I measured out the standard wall length and roll out the insulation. I used the straight edge to cut the paper and the serrated edge to cut the insulation. I had a contractor onsite that saw it and he told me just to use a razor knife, that was the best way. After I showed him he agreed this was much easier. Great product, after finishing the garage still as sharp as when I started.

Good tool, weak sheath
Knife is great, probably in my top 3 most used tools, holds an edge, aggressive serrations, beefy grippy handle, and full tang. The sheath is near useless after a week of use and actually presents a safety risk due to the low quality of material and construction.I actually stabbed the back of my arm pretty good as a result of this flaw, (blade had worked its way through the seam in the sheath causing an unseen exposure and essentially an unprotected, double sided, live edge 5” long.Buy the leather sheath add on
