First Impression: Good
I wish I saw this here before purchasing the upgrade kit from Prusa.Quick back story: Since I bought my MK3 I have never had any luck with their filament sensors working for long. I think I went through 4 in one year. Then they upgraded to the MK3 to MK3S with a new sensor. I upgraded the 1st of June and the new sensor lasted about a month. As soon as I put this new filament sensor in it worked right away. Now time will tell. I see another reviewer mentioned an issue with the cable, I reused the one that came with my upgrade kit.

Works good
The filament sensor works actually quite well, although there are some quirks in Marlin, that have to be fixed. They relate to the filament change. Logically you would use the unload feature to place a different color filament. If you do that in Marlin, you'll be sorry. The firmware does not know how to continue and you may find the nozzle to continue half a mile above the object. However, if you use the extrude function, you may have better luck.Aside, the sensor does what it is supposed to do!

upgrade for and anet a8 prusa hybrid
i have a am8 frame like the bear frame for prusa i am part hunting to make my anet as much a prusa mk3s as possible and this works i did have some firmware issues that i had to work out on my own like the #define FIL_RUNOUT_STATE HIGH norm is low by default its like the true/false for like everything else that why it took me 2day to find it while working on other things hope this help someone else so they dont waste time not printing

All parts are included
This is a complete kit. To the guy who stated that after ordering three kits, none of which had magnets, you should open up the sponge insert. The magnets are in there so that they don't interact with the steel screws and nuts. I'll update this review once I have the upgrade completed and tested.

Works well on Prusa MK2 to MK2.5S upgrade on Rambo 13a board
This worked will on the Prusa MK2 to MK2.5S upgrade with the Rambo 13a board. There were slots on the board for the connectors. It is nice to have an autoload feature on the printer. Fit very well into the printed extruder housing and all the parts are in this kit for the upgrade.

Had some problems, my own fault.
At the end of the day this product works. My two big issues were that I was missing some long bolts(maybe I lost them). I was able to find them in the Prusa spare parts bag. The second was I used a black PETG. The sensor was not triggered by the PETG plastic flag. I ended up putting a small piece of metal duct tape on the PETG flag so the sensor would see it. Everything else worked like a dream. I am happy.

Absolutely everything I needed
I am building a Prusa i3 MK3S by self-sourcing (rather than buying prusa's kits) just for the fun and experience of buying, and selectively upgrading as I go alone - however, the MK3S extruder has a specific type of sensor and magnetic 'spring' setup that would be prohibitive to try and piece-meal if it wasn't for this kit. It's absolutely perfect, and on testing, does exactly what it should. Five star!

Works great!
After my old MK3 sensor literally burned up, I got this kit. I printed all the new parts and assembled everything without issue. I now have an MK3S! I hope the sensor is better than the old one. Time will tell.
