1/4 Inch Shank Keyhole Router Bit Set - 3/8 & 1/2 Inch Blade Diameter

Used it to hang a clock I built. Mounted a block to the top and bottom on the back of clock to keep it away from wall. Instead of just making a hole in the top block, I routed from the bottom of block and made a notch. When hanging it I just position it slightly above screw in wall and slide it side to side until it drops in place. Easier than having to be exactly over the screw to hit the hole.

I needed to complete a project I was working on and discovered I needed this tool. Found it on Amazon, ordered it, worked on the project, tool delivered, used, project completed.The only humm moment was the size of the package....very large packaging for such a tiny tool....humm, seems wasteful.

I do a far amount of wall art and I like making a mounting slot on the back as it eliminates having to attach hardware which makes it awkward to stack my creations when loading up for a show. I don't know how long it will last but so far I have been able to do about 40 or so and it is not showing any signs of needing sharpening.

I desperately needed to hang these pieces which I painted many years ago. My son in law cut the keyhole slots with the router bits I purchased and they worked beautifully. I have several other pieces which will require the same treatment and he told me they will do a great job again and again. They come 2 in the set in cases in reusable container to protect the blades from damage. The price was extremely reasonable in my opinion.

Did the basics well. Small amount of tearing on the edge on initial use.

I needed to cut some keyholes in some plaques I made. This bit worked extremely well for the job. The bit had no problem plunging into the wood and cut the slot with ease. I’ve used it on pine and poplar, and while I haven’t tried it on anything real hard like maple or any exotics, I expect that it would be up to the task as long as you don’t try to cut too fast.
