Fun toy and perfect gift.
Bought this for my 16 year old for Christmas and now I wish I would have gotten all my kids one. It's super entertaining and awe inspiring. It seemingly defies the laws of gravity. Great for kids or adults. Would also be a perfect white elephant gift!

Shakier than it should be
I've had a couple gyroscope toys from my childhood, so I knew what they were supposed to do. I bought this one for a family member, and when I took it out to test, I was a little disappointed. It's not as sturdy, and it doesn't balance quite as well as it should because of the looseness of it. It wobbles pretty severely and definitely couldn't do the trick of spinning on the edge of a glass, or balancing on the end of a finger. Fun to watch on a flat surface though. Acts more like a spinning top than a gyroscope.

Simple, fascinating, seems sturdy
Got two for two kids. My memory is that if you pulled to hard it would come apart, that hasnβt happened, so pleased in that regard.

Took 2 orders to get 1 super cheap item. Broke same day
Bought it to show kids how a gyroscope works. String broke on 5th pull. And again on 8th pull. This was the replacement that I got 9 days after the original order that never came. It also barely goes fast enough to stand for a few seconds before falling down. Super low quality junk sure to bring minutes of frustration and seconds of fun!

not great not terrible
This gyro looks great and is a 5/5 on that part. However, it did not spin very freely and just would not stay up long as a result.

I had lots of fun and I could believe the angles that this gyro can keep for many seconds withou falling. Sadly the falls will eventually occur when the gyro slows down. And in spite it is from metal it will eventually break. The rope breaks first, and it is not easy to get a similar one, so i think there should be one or two spare ropes added.

The principal axis rod provided for spinning was quite strong, and it spins smoothly on the axis with very less friction. Therefore, it spins stably for a longer time period. If the hole meant for the insertion of the thread is given little below, ie very near to the spinning wheel, then the spin time would increase much further
