Barricade Rust Protection for Firearm Cleaning, Longevity and Maintenance

I recently moved to a humid place so naturally the humidity in the house is pretty high even when running dehumidifiers. My 4 main farm guns that sit out of the safe because they get used every day on the farm were developing surface rust almost daily I have tried everything I could get my hands on. I read nothing but good reviews about this and decided to give it a try. I like the "film/coating" it leaves on the metal, You cant see it but its there. It provides a protective layer and IF any rust develops it should be easier to remove than without a layer. I haven't had extensive time to test it yet as I just got it but it smells great (I don't recommend smelling it by the way), It goes on easy and as a test I coated my barrels and then dropped water onto it with a syringe and the water was dispersed and just fell off, It didn't stay on at all. Soon as the water hit. It slid right off!. This stuff looks to be promising and I am hopeful that it will keep the surface rust at bay because having to oil and scrub every two-three days was beginning to be a pain. Performs well for what I've tried so far. I coated the main ones that are needed while working on the farm and put them back. Will inspect them in a few days and if there is no surface rust then this will be my go to product for a long time!

This great for metal to keep from rusting I use on all kinds from snowblower blades to garden shears etc. I recommend using this .

I have purchased and used many of their products over the years, none have disappointed. In my safe I keep most of my firearms in “gun socks”. I have used many anti corrosion products and most of them get readily wiped off when putting them in the sock. When I spray this product on I let it sit a minute or so before putting the firearm in the sock or case. Barricade doesn’t form a waxy coating but it seems to form a coating that isn’t so easy to wipe off down to the metal. This is my first can but it won’t be my last. I will still use other products as sometimes I would prefer to wipe on the protectant Vs spraying it on. That said, it has its place in my battle against rust.

I use this product to protect my stored firearms and have never been disappointed. However, if you are not used to this product, be prepared for the distinctive odor which may offend some folks, like my girlfriend. A little goes a long way. I barely spray onto the firearm and wipe with the same cloth which I keep in a plastic bag. This way, the cloth continues to have residual amount of the product and helps not having to use too much of the product any time. Great stuff, from a great company.

sprayed a ton of this on a sig p320 xfive legion and let it site for about 20 min... had the pew pew now for 1 month and no rust like the p320 likes to do

I know we all have our favorite lubricant and rust inhibitor, But this stuff is the best I have come across. I live on the ocean so salt air is the issue. I applied Barricade last year and no other application and I'm still rust free and a film still coats the metal.
