8 Foot Deluxe Beach Umbrella Combo Set – Includes Easy Go Storage Bag – UPF 50+ Sun Protection!

We went to the beach on the Atlantic coast on a very hot and windy day. This umbrella covered my husband and me plus our cooler easily. It has venting on the top to let the air flow through and to keep it from toppling over. This thing is so strong, it didn't even budge in the strong wind. It is made from heavy duty material and we didn't even need the umbrella 'anchor' we bought separately. (it has too large of a pole to even use the 'anchor') The pole on this umbrella screws into the sand nicely and is easy enough for a weak person to do. It comes in 2 pieces. The colors are very nice and it is easy to spot from a distance because of it's size and design. By the way, the carrying pouch makes it a breeze to carry and is convenient. Also, the umbrella has a bar to hang goggles, shirts, etc (it wasn't meant for that, but it works anyway) Overall, this umbrella is well worth the cost! I felt a little guilty watching all the other umbrellas fly inside out and blow over in the wind!

I saw the reviews and description and ordered 4 of these umbrellas still wondering "is this going to be more made in china cra* that breaks after 2 weeks??" WOW these umbrellas are great... the little drill mount on the bottom of the post screws easily into the sand (even Florida white, dry, fine sand) and it holds that umbrella in even pretty strong winds. People around us were watching their umbrellas fly away and all four of ours stayed firmly put. Set up is a breeze - just a minute or two, and the umbrella is large enough for two people to sit comfortably. It tilts and the colors are great. Good sun protection. Overall I can't think of a single complaint (except the price has gone up $15 per umbrella since we ordered). We found that ordering 3-4 of these is the same price of our usual beach canopy, and the umbrellas are much easier to set up and much better in wind. Highly recommended!!!! PS - Just found that this umbrella is available at Sam's Club for $24.99!

I ordered this umbrella last week for a planned beach trip, and have to say that it was an excellent purchase. The umbrella was super-easy to put together and use, it provided dense shade on a very bright and windy day, and the bright colors made our bit of the beach easy to spot from the water. I did appreciate other recent reviewers mentioning that the design of this umbrella has apparently changed in the last few months - it DOES NOT have a built-in screw on the bottom of the pole despite what the description says. If we had only the umbrella, we would have been unable to use it yesterday on the beach, as we wouldn't have been able to "plant" it deep enough to get it to stay upright. I highly recommend purchasing it with the recommended Rio Sports Sand Anchor. It was lightweight, easy to "plant" and the umbrella then set in easily and stayed put for 8 hours on a windy day. Excellent purchase, and we're planning to buy a second one to expand our shady territory!

As hard as we tried, we couldn't get this umbrella to stay into the ground. The anchor part, as said in other reviews, is worthless unless you take a shovel with you to dig down into the sand, then try to screw in the anchor, then ... Anyway, we didn't have a shovel. I had purchased a nice anchor separately in case of problems. However, the anchor attached to the umbrella would NOT come off and the umbrella's attached anchor would not fit into the separate anchor we purchased. We actually tried to break the anchor off...but to no avail. We ended up with no shade for the day. I definitely should have read the reviews prior to trying to use the umbrella. It seems like a nice umbrella, but it required a screwdriver and a shovel to make the required adjustments.

Great: The upper part - the umbrella and opening mechanism - is great. The material appears well constructed, and I like the fiberglass tines. If (when) the wind blows gusty and pushes the umbrella inside out, it's easy to return it to it's proper position. I would give it 5 stars for this part. Lousy: The lower pole - the part that goes into the sand - was poorly constructed. On the first day after 5 hours of good use of the umbrella, a strong gust of wind came up and broke the pole at the point where the upper pole inserts into the lower section. This is a design flaw. The company makes it clear on their web site that there is no refund or replacement of the pole in the case of wind damage. So, if you buy this umbrella, don't use it on days that are gusty. I gave the overall rating 1 star because essentially the umbrella is not useable if you can't rely on it withstanding moderate wind gusts.

We bought this umbrella after using sharing similar umbrella at a family reunion. We use the umbrella primarily when we take our boat out to the beach so getting something functional but light, and compact was our goal. We first purchased one to use when it is just the two of us at the beach rather than lug our 10X10 canopy. The umbrella is compact, easy to setup and sturdy (we used it in gusty wind conditions at the beach and it did great) and will provide shade for two people and a cooler. It comes with an auger that works very well at our beach which has solid sand just 4-5 inches below the surface. We did a lot of research before choosing this umbrella and are very happy with it. After a couple of uses we purchased a second one for those times when our son joins us and reserve the canopy for larger events.

I love the coverage that this umbrella provides, however, it is poorly made. The button that locks the two pieces together is difficult to push in and the button that operates the tilt mechanism is impossible to use. If you manage to depress the button it still won't tilt and you need a hammer to get the button to go back to its original position just so that you are able to close the umbrella. I wish this worked better because it would be the perfect beach umbrella. Good coverage and light weight.

The umbrella I purchased so far has been all it was cracked up to be. It works great in beach sand. No need for some beach sand stand. It tilts easily to block the sun. It stands up well to the wind. It looks great & is relatively easy to set up. However, I cant say the same about the carrying bag. The second time I used it, the carrying strap separated from the bag itself. I noticed that the strap was coming off the bag on both ends of the strap. Also the seam on the open end where you insert the umbrella was coming apart. Fortunately my wife was able to sew it back together (better than new). I guess this is what we get for buying EVERYTHING from China. More crap! When will we learn? Can't we make anything here?
