Sketchup for Dummies

Disappointing
Personally I didn’t find this as good as I hoped. The chummy, colloquial writing style is irritating and a bit juvenile. The book tends to be organised into a series of exercises which have to be read through, which makes it frustrating to look up a specific detail when you’re in the middle of something. Overall subject coverage is pretty good, and includes full details on the still-popular Sketchup 2017. But as an instruction manual, it is too verbose where it should be succinct.

Not really for woodworkers
I got this book to help with design of woodworking projects. While it is easy to understand, the lack of information on the processes such as joint creation and especially plane alignment let it down for me. Still, it is a useful reference book for Sketchup basics.
