I installed this in about 1.5 hours with minimal tools, it was very simple to do in my 14' silverado 1500. It was also 20 amps bigger than the stock one that died. I've been extremely happy with this, between pulling campers, 4 wheelers, trailers etc. I've never had a loss of power. This has been installed in my truck for about 4 months now and I have no complaints - it has held up awesome. My brother-in-law recommended getting the 170 amp version and sent me a link to this one. Installing the new alternator took about an hour and afterwards I was shocked at how much better the truck performed. It has more pep, responsiveness, and the intermittent audio issues went away.
