Best rust product I have ever used.
This product is great to spray on rust. You can spay it in the frame of your truck and any rust will be removed. Just spray and leave. Then a year or a year and a half later depending how much your vehicle get ran in the rain you will spray it agsin to protect it. My 2020 ecoboost frame looks it just got painted. Can use it on about everything but keep away from muffler. When it burns off it stinks.

Corrosion X is my go to when I want a lasting corrosion barrier . It also penetrates well and lubricates too. From guns, cars, reels, and all machines it is unbeatable.

Best multi-purpose lubricant / protectant you can get
This is the best multi-purpose lubricant you can get. I use it on my boat, my glass sliding doors on the tracks, my guns, my cars and anything else that either needs lubricant or rust protection. I live near the saltwater so that is saying a lot!

Good for Salt Environment
This product is invaluable in a salt environment. I would characterize it as a light lubricant with corrosion inhibiting properties, but read the label to be sure it meets your needs. It has been my go-to product for certain applications for many years. The gallon jug is a great value IF you need that much.

Great product for RV.
If you have a RV you should buy this by the gallon. Spray everything that shows rust, corrosion or wear. Great lube for door and cargo door hinges.

4 stars because the jury's out on it as a rust preventative and lubricant
I live in Hawaii and am a tool nut, so I've been battling rust and corrosion my entire life - and I don't even live near the beach but in the center of the island. Oahu is like Okinawa, where the entire island is subject to salt spray, it seems. To combat rust I've tried it all: Cosmoline coating my tools, storing them in FoodSaver vacuum-sealed bags, wiping them with a silicone cloth and wrapping them in several layers of shrink wrap. What I need to do on my expensive electronic equipment (like my $4000 Focal Utopia headphones), is place them in a sealed 5-gallon container with dessicant packs and a humidity indicator to tell me when to change out the packets. So we come to the story of CorrosionX. Does it work? I have not used it long enough so the jury's out. Here are it's pros and cons:Pros:1. A little goes a long way. I spray about a milliliter on a shop rag and rub it over bare metal surfaces. The solution eventually impregnates the rag so I can reuse it to coat tools.2. It is thick and viscous, for those applications where it is beneficial.Cons:1. Very expensive! The main reason I sucked it up and paid $110 for a gallon is because I refused to pay the prices for a small spray bottle; it just wasn't as good a deal.2. Difficult to apply in a spray form as most spray bottles will not aerosolize it.3. Leaves the tools or surfaces 'wet' and greasy, unlike Cosmoline. So if you handle the tools a lot, it will eventually wipe most of it off.4. Did I mention it is expensive???What is my main use of the product now? I would say screwdriver tips and pliers. They rust out like crazy here. I have to remove the rust with Scotchbrite and coat them with CorrosionX. I have an expensive mountain bike. Nothing will rust on that, right? As it's designed to operate in rain and mud. Nope, the chain rusts easily. So I had to rub the rust off and use CorrosionX to coat the chain. This product would make a good bicycle chain lube due to the viscosity, but I am only using it because I have a gallon of the stuff. I would not recommend it for the general bike riding population because it's too expensive in smaller quantities like the aerosol or spray.I am also using CorrosionX on my 9 mm CZ Shadow 2 handgun, to coat the inside of the barrel and all polished surfaces in the chamber. CorrosionX is also advertised to be a superior lubricant, but the jury is also out on that, until I see how well it works to prevent cassette wear on my mountain bike.Just be aware this stuff is expensive. Oh! Did I already mention that???
