Theatricals "Footnote Neoprene Half Sole

I teach dance classes and use these a lot. I have tried out a couple different styles and I really like the neoprene because it stay put and is a little cushy. Also the foot pad lines up well with my actual foot (this has been and issue with other types) I can wear these for hours and they are very comfortable. I have long narrow feet. The sizing guide worked for me.

I bought these for my 7 year old, for contemporary. Not being a dancer it was really hard to order because the reviews on the sizing were LESS than helpful. I ordered a size XS for her and she wears a size 2 in kids shoes. When I pulled them out of the box, I almost panicked. They looked so small! We were able to get them on and so far are working. We could have gotten away with ordering a small, as they are bit snug. But... besides having a hard time ordering a size they are really good quality!

I bought these for doing gymnastics, specifically on the beam. Round offs on beam hurt the balls of my feet (no one has any business doing somewhat high level gymnastics in their 30's, yet here I am) and these pad them a bit. They are slippery, so I have to get used to doing turns with them on. And they do tend to slide off after a few turns. I have narrow size 7 feet, and the mediums fit perfectly. Snug enough to put some compression on my feet, which is a good thing, but don't slide off too easily. I wanted to put some ball of the foot cushions inside them as well for more padding, but the cushions were to big and fell out, and it felt very weird up on the beam.

We did go a size up and it fits great , Comfy

The problem I had with these were mostly my fault but anyways.. I ordered a large because of my previous medium being too small thinking they would be the perfect size they were wayyyyy too big for me both regularly and being very wide. Bad on my part for not checking the measurements or thinking about the brand difference but a plus is that they are comfortable and a good fabric.

I bought these for bellydancing. I have always had a problem with turns on bare feet. My feet stick to the ground too much and it's hard to force the turns and pivots. My teacher thinks calluses are enough but she's a famous performer and I'm just a hobbyist ;) Plus I use my feet for more than just dancing and didn't want to make them too gnarly.These half-soles are the perfect amount of grip so you don't slide around, but slippery enough for turns and pivots to happen with no extra effort. I feel am in much better control than with bare feet.I also do aerial silks and trapeze, and have hurt the ball of my foot too many times from bad landings out of the air. If it is sensitive, the padding on these soles is enough to make a big difference to relieve the pain and avoid further injury when i am dancing on releve.I have not tried to use these on the aerial apparatuses yet, since foot grip is extra important to keep you from falling with certain moves.The only problem is sometimes the pinky end of the shoe slips off a little, not all the way off, but slips up my pinky toe and gets loose up there instead of staying tight down on the joint. But it doesn't inhibit use. Everyone's feet are shaped a little different so it might just be me.

I got these to wear in modern classes to protect my big toe joints, as I have developed some inflammation over the years.They provide exceptional cushion and I ended up wearing them inside all of my shoes as well for extra support. They are quite thick on the bottom, so if you just want a thin layer to turn on you may want to try a different brand, but for my purposes they were perfect.They were also a bit tight when I first got them (I got a medium and I typically wear size 8), but they stretched out after a few days of use.
