Fits Bose OE 2 for sure. Don’t know about others.

Q: is the headband a zipper?

Yes, it has a zipper. It has to have a zipper in order for the average person to be able to do this repair job. If it didn't have a zipper the headphones would have to be disassembled and the speaker wires de-soldered and re-soldered. Ron Harding - Support@RonsElectronicSales.com

i purches one did not work for my head set to small and it was 1/2 to 3/4 inch to short same nubet as my head set n make.

Q: How long has this lasted for you? (Before needing replacement.)

I haven’t had to replace them, they are very good quality. I had them for over a year and I don’t expect to replace them for a long time. These are factory quality bands, highly recommended.
