But in my opinion he over-does that in many instances. Some of the "solutions' are nearly nothing more than "answers". Otherwise the solutions are generally excellent. I have only found a very few instances of the number of the answer not matching the number of the problem - or perhaps matching the problem from some previous text. The support people for the text have been very responsive to my pointing those out. In working about 1500 of the problems from the first half of the text I have found only two answers that are incorrect. In this case the support people have been totally non-responsive to my inquiries. I'm not sure why. On the issue of not "showing your work", were I a math text author, I would lean much more to showing the between the lines calculations. Otherwise I fear too many potentially good students might become too discouraged and bail out. I still give it three stars - reluctantly.
