Cost to value make this replacement a VERY favorable alternative to the Toyota OEM replacement!!
The tonneau cover was purchased to replace my OEM cover that came with my 2009 Prius when I bought the car new. The replacement arrived in a timely manner. The housing is a little smaller and thinner metal than the OEM, but the plastic end caps are larger than the housing and thus fit adequately in the slots in the cargo area that are designed to hold the cover’s housing. Spring tension on the fabric is substantial and thus, unless something breaks or tears internally, I expect that it will roll and unroll for years to come. The cover itself is made of a good grade of material and actually MORE PRECISELY fits the cargo area more completely than the OEM unit did.The housing is a textured black material, not the brushed aluminum housing of the OEM unit. But other than heat retention due to the darker color, I have no problem with it.The bottom line, barring future failure, thIs $140 replacement is a much better buy for the dollar than the $400 OEM replacement that was quoted me by my local Toyota dealership. My OEM unit lasted 10-years. Even if I have to replace this one every 5-years (which I have NO REASON to believe will be the case) I’ll still have only paid $280 for two of these and still be $120 dollars AHEAD of where I’d be if I bought ONE of the OEM units for $400!!!!!

Great product - great quality!
I've been wanting one of these for years and it did not disappoint! Works well, is smooth, easy to install, and although my interior is tan and the part is grey, it still matches. This helps to keep items cool in the back of my black car on over 90F degree weather.

Fantastic Quality!
This shade for my son's Prius is much heavier (better quality) than a similar shade that I have on my BMW. I can tell this is tough material, and it definitely shields my son's belongings from the sun (and prying eyes.) It was very easy to install, and fits his 2008 Prius perfectly!
