I Am a Bunny (A Golden Sturdy Book)

My toddler is loving this book! It’s beautifully illustrated with a vintage vibe. The story is simple and great for younger kids. Very different it is from other Richard scarry books that my daughter loves, but still gets her talking and keeps her interested!

This is such a sweet and cozy book! Beautiful illustrations by Richard Scarry, very different in style than his Cars & Trucks books. We love this timeless classic and the nostalgia of Little Golden Books.

If you know someone named Nicholas having a kid, buy them this book. If they have another name, still buy this book. It’s a heirloom book to me. I’ll keep it for my grandkids because all of my kids love this book. The storyline is simplistic and appreciating the beauty of the natural world around you. It’s a short and easy read - great for birth and up. The illustrations are beautiful.

Cute board book for my one year old grand daughter. She loves her books! This one in particular is one of her favorites.

I will admit, i almost did not buy this book. I remember seeing it as a kid (at daycare??) and was always creeped out because the colors on the cover were so dark they appeared sinister. (Had I known it was illustrated by one of my favorites i might have opened it). So I never looked beyond the cover. But as a mom, I am always on the hunt for educational books that are also lovely with beautiful stories and art. This got good reviews and I figured if I was still creeped out i would just donate the book. Glad I bought it. The cover remains creepy (to me), for some reason the colors are darker on the cover than inside the book. The illustrations inside are beautiful and the story serene. Summer is my least favorite because it is so hot here, and fall is the best with the beautiful colors. Therefore I was somewhat disappointed that in this book summer is given much more attention than autumn or spring (my close second favorite). However, i guess that is somewhat fitting since summer weather here lasts June-midOctober (sigh, it's just after labor day and the forecast says 103 for Thursday). Even if you have other books on seasons, buy this one. I also like that it's a board book so my LO can look at it all she wants.

My dad did the typesetting for this book in 1971, in England. He also did Busytown books. This will always be a favorite. I received this book for my 7th birthday. The one complaint I have is the the inside back cover looked like it had some kind of oil smeared all over it. It was not easy to remove.

Sweet book.

Wonderful, delightful gentle little story, ideal bedtime story, beautiful illustrations, lots of things to discuss.

What a beautiful book.. Great illustrations and just enough words.. I add my own stories while reading.. toddlers can learn about the seasons too.
