Streamlight 69333 Vantage II 350-Lumen Industrial Hard Hat Mount Light with Blue LED Tail Light, Black

I am a member of a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and wanted this for my helmet. The mount fits perfectly in the helmet and the quality of Streamlight is fantastic. The light is easy to use and has a lock out feature so it doesn't activate by accident. I have other streamlight products that I love and this meets all expectations. Great light, great quality, great features. Yes it costs a little more, but it is worth when it has to work.

My opinion best hard hat flashlight you can find! Yes battery life is short but with the size and brightness it’s understandable. Brightness will not disappoint with both the front white led and flashing blue led to help others see you in the dark when facing away from them. Do not buy rechargeable 3.7V batteries in my opinion the heat generated is too much almost too hot to the touch. I bought 3.2 EBL rechargeable batteries but only last half of what a non rechargeable will last, good thing I bought a 4 pack.

I have two of the vantage lights. One is on my fire helmet for my volunteer department and the other is on my hard hat at work. I love how the tail light feature can be changed. I’m definitely getting way more use out of the light on my hard hat already even though I’ve only had it for about a week. It has two brightness settings and I don’t really have a need to use the brightest one. I like that I can adjust how high or low the angle is on the hard hat light. Kinda sucks that the fire helmet one only goes left or right instead of up or down.

I like this light because it’s really small and doesn’t get in the way like headband flashlights sometimes do. The big button is easy to use and the beam is bright and focused. Battery life is as advertised, about 5 hours on low. The pivot on the light is nice and stiff so it stays where I angle it. The biggest problem is that mounting bracket doesn’t lock in to the slot on my hard hat. There’s a small tab that kinda sticks out when inserted, but it isn’t enough to really secure it. While adjusting the angle on the light the bracket rocks, and I have been able to wiggle it out by rocking it back and forth. Overall though it’s definitely a good and very durable light, and I really doubt it will fall off without me messing with it. Just keep some spare batteries in your locker.

Good Build Quality, can take a beating. Light has a far throw, you will feel the heat if you put your hand in front of the beam. Short battery life, approx 2 hours. Had temperature issues. Also the required batteries are not rechargeable. I bought Fiersh Cr123 rechargeable L-ion batteries with 3.7 bolts instead of 3V. It supercharged the light , but the heat it generates is excessive. I then added a few V-ram heat sinks and plan on adding a thermoelectric cooling module to help transfer the heat away faster. Other than that, the light is well made and hopefully Streamlight will continue to break their barriers.

Worst hard hat light ever. Battery went out in less than six hours, and it’s only 350 lumens. I’ve had Nitecore lights for years that are well over a 1000 lumens, and last me 10 hours or more. Don’t waste your money on this light like I did.
