The map is really pretty - colors look a little brighter in person than on this picture, but it still looks antique, but it's a present-day accurate map. Shipped within 2 days of ordering, and the packaging was hard cardboard, so it was not damaged whatsoever in transit.Just a small tip for anyone planning to make their own corkboard travel map with this map - I went by a blogger's suggestion to mod podge this map to a corkboard to create a framed travel tack board, but this map freaked out when I used the mod podge to secure it to the corkboard. It bubbled, wrinkled and did not turn out AT ALL. I should have used spray adhesive instead, and will do that with the replacement I'm ordering today because this makes a great decorator statement piece!It does have a glossy finish, but I went over the top of the map with matte finish mod podge, and that took out the shine and made it look more high-class... except for the bubbling and wrinkling :)

Beware: Some reviews are saying the poster is different than the pictures. If you look at the pictures, there are 2 maps. If you buy the map by itself, you get one poster, but if you buy the map and frame combo, the map is different.I purchased the map itself and am very happy with it! Does look kind of cheap, but with Mod Podge over top, it gives it a rustic/real look and feel. It does look slightly more orange or "burnt orange" than the picture, but I still like it!I purchased this as part of a craft idea. I took the poster, used Mod Podge to glue it to a 36x24 piece of cork-board, painted Mod Podge over the poster, and then placed it in a picture frame.Overall, I am very happy with it and would definitely purchase it again.

Beautiful, thick paper and an exceptional value. I would buy it again or gift it I framed it though there may be an option? to purchase a frame along with the map.

I bought this map for a kids school project but it was so beautiful and high quality that I ended up displaying it in my library. I used antique frames from a damaged painting I bought at an antique store. The golden washed finish gives it a wonderful look of ageing. I get asked where I got the vintage map in my office all the time. People don't realize is actually brand new till they get up close. I am very happy I ordered this map!

i love the map. i bought this for my photography and i am not disappointed. the packaging is A+ in my book. So protected that even my husband could not believe that I paid under 6 bucks and it was shipped for free. so satisfied. will def buy again and i do recommend it. it is a little shiny if you want to use it as a photography background, but other than that it's beautiful.

Keep in mind, what I ordered isn't exactly what I got.When ordered, description said it was on craft paper, not poster, but some time after shipping and before I got it, the title and description changed to say it was on poster paper. While I can still use it for my needs I am still disappointed, as the craft paper would have been better. Still, considering the price ($6) can't really complain.
