Great drawing practice.
I did not like the pilgrims presence in the book. The title is Natives American. There are a lot of scenes that could have been done surrounding daily life (past and present) of indigenous people of America.

Fabulous way to motivate, inspire and encourage a child to write more!
The way this Book is designed is very attractive for a child's mind. Most children are visually enticed, hence the love for the video games. It is so much easier for a child to write when they have a themeor a topic and a space designed to fill the expected amount soa young mind has a lattice to climb on and grow.

Same great 'stuff' as their previous books
Thank you, DRAW WRITE NOW for more great writing and drawing / small motor skill practice. It's just enough, not too much so that my kids enjoy it and it's nor frustrating or something they dread.

Kids love it, mom loves it, everyone is happy with this purchase!
This book is wonderful! I have 2 children using it and they both love it, as do I. There are lots of drawing lessons in this book, each paired with a few sentences. We use this book with the printables from 1plus1plus1equals1, so on day 1 they draw the picture, color and trace the words but on day two they draw again and write the words on their own. The drawing lessons are clear and easy for them to understand and the handwriting practice both helps with penmanship as well as having them learn something new about different tribes. My son wants me to add that it is, "one of the most fun books I have ever seen!"

We Enjoy It
Love these books! I'm a homeschooling mom of several kids spanning different ages, and they've been a hit across the board. My 8 year old benefits from it the most. We are studying about Native Americans right now and this is a great little supplement to our studies that doubled as copywork and a drawing lesson. It has been fun! The younger kids do struggle with some of the drawings, but they've been learning to identify basic shapes they see and then recreate them on their paper.

Great mix of copywork and drawing fun! But don't forget to purchase a composition book (separately) to use with it!!
I got this for my 1st and 3rd graders to supplement our homeschool curriculum and it's been great! It coincides with what we are learning about in US History (Native Americans and the Colonists), while adding a fun drawing element the kids love as a kind of "treat" for finishing the copywork! You'll want to make sure and get a composition book/s, the kind with pages for writing AND pictures (have to purchase those separately) as this is NOT a consumable book! My kids are really enjoying it.

Makes learning fun!
My grandsons love using these. Bought them for Christmas and they were soooo excited. Helps them learn to draw and learn at the same time!

My kids and I love this series of books.
We will be using this book during a study of Lewis and Clark. We have other Draw Write Now books and my kids have always enjoyed them. Besides the times we work on a particular drawing together, they will also take one down and work on their drawings all by themselves. I think it is helping them to become better artists by breaking down the steps. Basically lots of shapes put together equals a complete picture. It is easy enough to understand that my five year old can work on her own without my help. This is a great product, and I would definitely recommend any of these books.
