Returned. But it's ok, depending.
I ended up returning it... I just couldn't bare having to constantly clean the fur off the black velvet material. I liked the color because my room furniture is all black and wanted it to match and it was a good height ratio to my bed but why use velvet material when this is for pet??Good product if you don't mind pet hair sticking to it... But I'm back on the hunt for something more suited and less maintenance.

Brown is DARK, rich - nice and modern. Great for dogs under 20lbs. Nice soft material cover w/ zipper.
Ok, I'm very glad I checked up on the color for the chocolate (and that someone here helped and posted a pic) because the color is COMPLETELY OFF - by a lot. The actual color is a very, very dark, rich brown, very saturated - the photo here looks like a medium, kind of yellowy brown. I attached a photo of the real item so you can see :)The steps look great - nicest look of all the steps we have seen. We returned a carpeted one as this looked so much nicer. The dark brown color fits great, is modern, and does not stand out (we have a dark brown bench next to it which helps :) It DOES show more pet hair unless you have a black or dark brown haired pet, but its easy enough to clean and I'd rather clean a bit more and have the nicer color! It is a bit smooth, which looks nice but can result in a little slipping for larger dogs. Bringing me to the next point:BIG TIP: These are slightly lightweight, great for moving around BUT they will tip over for any dog over around 10lbs if they are not right in the center. It also will slip on tile or smooth surfaces - so we put a matching size carpet pad underneath and it works GREAT! We also got some double sided industrial velcro to put along the back of it attached to the back of the bed - that part prevents the tipping, and the carpet pad prevents the sliding. You could velcro it to a bench, furniture, really anything, but I assume most people will have this next to a bed or sofa - you can use the fabric velcro to attach it to a material if its a sofa.FUNCTION: While it is foam, it is pretty firm, but will smush down slightly. This really should ONLY BE USED FOR DOGS AROUND 20lbs or UNDER! Maybe a little more depending on the dog but much more and they will start to tip over/smush too much. The depth of the steps is a little shallow, so larger dogs won't have the easiest time with them. Our 20lb spaniel is ok with them - sometimes does slip a bit from the smooth finish and the shallow stairs, but not an actual slip or fall just a little less of a grip kind of thing. She still uses them voluntarily with no problem or hesitation :) But again, any dog larger would start to have a problem - 20 lbs or so should be the listed max.PRICE: I feel at around $70-$75 it is overpriced - they are well made, look nice, material is nice quality but not $75 worth. It is a piece of foam with a cover - as nice as it looks, that's all it is :) I got ours on sale for around $52 and there are some warehouse deals here and there - $50 is the right price for these. But they look great and it's rare to find a modern looking set with a nice dark finish, so it is worth a bit of a premium.Overall - a really nice looking set and a great dark rich brown color that isn't so easy to find. Definitely recommend for dogs under 20 lbs!

Good Quality, best for very small dog, needed to do my own modification. Photos attached.
My 10 year old 5 1/2 lb Yorkie had a bit of problems with this. The material is nice, but seems pretty smooth/slick for her to get used to and the steps are very narrow (6") and steep which makes her pretty cautious about using them although I'm sure over time she'll get used to it. Her desire for her place on my bed will most likely outweigh her fears eventually. My mattress from floor to top sits 28 inches. The steps are 20 inches leaving 8 inch jump from top step to the bed. Due to the wood frame my mattress sits in, it leaves a 2 in gap between the mattress and the step. With that top step being only 6 inches, she just couldn't get her footing. She kept slipping, fell and tumbled down again. The only way I could get her to keep trying was timely breaks and lots of treats. When I turned it sideways that was no help either as without the steps pushed up against something, they would wobble and fall back some as she attempted the climb. Made her even more apprehensive. So I figured a way to make the top step wider AND fill that gap between the frame and the mattress. Found a box with an attached lid that fortunately I had in my sewing room and it was just the right length to fit over the top step! Boy did I luck out. Taped the lid open (L Shapped), then stuffed some material in the lid to fill the space and slid the box over the top step. When i saw this would work, I cut & taped some hard cardboard (painting canvas board) to the box that would fit over the step to make it more sturdy and a wider step. Placed & taped a bit of foam on it then temporarily pinned some material in place to cover it all. Works like a charm and shes now using it.I've attached some photos to give you an idea of what I did. Works best for her when I have it pushed up against the bed & the nightstand.Product quality is good. Don't think this would work well for a large dog. Probably fine for a cat or small dog that is younger and more spry than my little Gidget. If your handy, my photos might give you some ideas if you are up to modifying the product. I will keep it because I have a bad back and needed something light to be able to move around when I need to. Good luck.

Very happy with this product for my 21 year old cat!
I did tons of research for the perfect steps for my 21 year old cat and these are great. They test nicely against my couch and are really tall so make sure you measure the space you need it for! The material held up great I have had them for over a year and itโs easy to vaccum. The dark brown color is soft and pretty. It matches my furniture. They are not so steep that they would be unsafe. I keep a small rug underneath it so it doesnโt slide. If I didnโt it could easily move it pushed. I would buy this again

a must have for small dogs...
Update: I paid ยฃ27.92 for this went back to order again ยฃ87.00!! What a rip off for some foam! I wish I had thought if these 8 years ago when I got my Yorkie! They are just fabulous and she loves them. She broke her leg in Dec and isn't back to her normal self, I have these by the bed, I now sleep all night instead of being woken up with the thud of her jumping down to the floor or taking 5 attempts to jump up, both happy!

Amazing product!
I am really impressed with these steps. my dog has a luxating patella and i needed something for her to use to get on and off the sofa. I have ordered 2 as they are a good height for the bed too.Very Light weight and sturdy at the same time. The cover is removable and can be washed. The only issue I had with amazon was that I ordered them on Friday and 2 days later they had reduced the price! Other than that very happy!
