Fizik Vento Microtex Tacky,Road Cycling Racing bar Tape, Black, 2mm

Very good adhesive, you can pull it off and reposition it without any issue. Very strong tape, you don't have to worry about tearing it when you are wrapping. The touch when installed is neither, slick nor tacky. The perforations give you a very easy way to judge wrapping overlap. You do have to pull it kind of hard to get it to lay flat around the bends, but it's a great tradeoff for the strength, adhesive, and feel. It's intended to look like leather. Plenty of tape for one bar.

Stellar feel. Great cushioning. Great durability and looks super. Love this take and it's worth the effort to get it right.

I've bought this tape before so knew what I was getting in to. This is not thick padded cushy tape. If that's what you want, look elsewhere. This is thin low-profile tape, but with Fizik quality. Its great. If you want to wrap your bars with low-key non-bulging tape, then this is the ticket. I've tried all manner of bar tape and keep coming back to this style, and Fizik in general. I've found that this thin tape is just as comfortable if not more and I like the solid feel of the bars just underneath the tape. If you have aero-shaped bars then this tape makes even more sense: the aesthetic of thin tape on a bike with nice lines is, to me, the only way to go. This tape isn't super grippy, but its not slippery: its a nice balance. I can slide my hands to different positions on the bars easily, but never have the feeling of slipping. The thin and slight stretch to the material also make these very easy to wrap. I'm an old school figure-8 bar wrap person and don't ever need the extra piece of tape to cover the lever clamps because of how I wrap the hoods and this tape makes that extra 'bend' in the wrap very easy. If you're looking at this tape, give it a go. I can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed. If you're used to the big fat 3+mm cushy tape, why not try this out and see. You might be surprised how good thin tape can actually feel.

Purchased these Fizik Vento Microtex in orange for my road bike. The color is fantastic, and the handfeel of this tape is amazing. Really grippy and provides great control.Now for the negative: this tape gets dirty, quick. And due to it’s thinness, it wears out excessively quickly with normal, sustained use. I usually aim to get a season out of wraps but these lasted less than 2 months, with tears and excessive wear from normal use (2 hour rides, 3 times a week)The final kicker: the lack of adhesive means that unless you wrap them perfectly, they’ll end up sliding around your bars (especially on the curve of the drops) and eventually, come entirely loose.Bottom line, if these had adhesive backs they’d be much better, and stay in place on the bars! Reccomend the thicker and less grippy Fizik Tempo Bondcush for longevity + overall quality.

I have been taping bars for years. In those years, I used cheapo $5 tapes to $70. Within its price range, without going crazy these are possibly the best tapes value and comfort wise. Without any hesitation I can say this tape is as comfortable and long lasting as any other tape double its price.The length is long enough to tape even those huge gravel bars and finishing tape is really nice too. The bar ends are okay quality not nothing to scoff at. Its the color and feel that won me over - best in business, I was after a particular color that didn't shout in your face and this one was PERFECT.Fully recommended. Going strong after 3000 miles of harsh summer, winter and rain. My next purchase will be same tapes in different color!

I have to be blunt, it's seldom that I'm this ecstatic for a product. It exceeded my expectations. The colour is excellent and so vibrant. It's very grippy, I feel very confident with my hands on any part of the bar now. I've taken it on a couple short commutes, but nothing longer yet. I will edit this review once summer comes around and I can. But so far I'm very happy with them. They make me happy just to see them on my bike. Highly recommend.

This is nice tap with a lovely and very, very soft texture. It's like you're holding on to a stunning Velvet Elvis.However, this had to be the most frustrating and curse-word inducing wrap I've ever done and as a 40+ year cyclist that has always done his own maintenance, I have wrapped my fair share of bars. The adhesive was next to useless (which didn't help), but the toughest thing was the seriously minimal stretch. I had to be very on with my turns and put a bit of muscle into it.In the end, though, it looks and feels quite nice.

I mean, it's Fizik? What else would you use? It also matches my Brooks Saddle.

Awesome tape. It's the second bike that I've wrapped with exactly this tape, and I love it! It's grippy and very soft, but it might be harder to wrap for a beginner due to its thickness.

Fizik fabrique les meilleures guidolines. Celle-ci est particulièrement forte. Juste à ajouter des morceaux d’anciens rubans sous les paumes de mains avant de couvrir et c’est le confort total.
