Yes you can. Mine are set to fade slowly into another colour. It comes with a remote. Highly recommend.

Q: Will this work with just batteries for use indoors or does it need to be solar powered?

It's solar only but if you have a good natural light source they do work inside. I have the unicorn on an upstairs windowsill and the pebble downstairs but near a big window. I think CPC farnell and festive lights do the version that is mains power / rechargeable if that helps😊
