WORKS FOR ME
I am a male in his 30s with olive to tan skin tone of Asian descent. I will say that before trying any product, consult with your doctor and know that each and every one of us has different types of skin and some products will or will not work or have the same results. That being said, I bought this product for a few reasons: first being that I have a lot of acne scars that I wanted to get rid of and secondly, I didn't want to pay the price of a regular chemical peel nor want to experience the abrasive peeling that comes with it. I was looking for a safe at home product that had great reviews and was very affordable. And after reading the reviews on Amazon, I decided to try this product for myself and for $30, it was a bargain. This product came in the mail very fast, about 3 days. Be patient with this peel and it most likely takes a couple of treatments before you see that clear smooth skin that we all hope for. When you get the product, make sure you read the directions thoroughly and do not skip any steps. My routine starts out with a facial wash and exfoliant... such as an oscillating facial brush with plain cleansing soap -- I then rinse and dry my skin with a towel, proceeding then with the peel solution. I first started this as a spot treatment on dark spots and light scarring to test my tolerance level. The instructions says to leave it on for 1 min as a test; the more you can tolerate, the longer you can leave it on, but DO NOT exceed 5 minutes. Note that on your face, the skin around your eyes/ corners of your eyes are much thinner than the rest of your face, i.e. forehead, cheeks, nose areas. The exterior corners of my eyes had a darker tint and I wanted to remove the darkness, however I left it on for over a minute and a half and it burned my skin: it was red, turned to scabs and after a few days of the pre peel steps, it came off and the redness went away to reveal a more even skin tone. After you've test a few areas, you then can proceed to larger areas of you skin. The method of application I use is I squeeze the solution into a small measuring cup (the tiny cups that comes with cough syrups works great) and I apply the solution onto my skin with a brush. Believe it or not, a thin half inch width art paint brush: this gives an even application and is not absorbed into the material like a cotton pad or ball would. I leave it on for about 2.5 minutes, maybe 3 and you will start to feel a tingling and slight stinging reaction -- I'm able to tolerate it, but again, do not leave it on for more than 5 minutes. After a 2 to 3 mins, rinse your face with cold water until you feel the solution has completely been washed off. You then can wipe your face with a towel. I repeat this very step every 3 days and wash my face the next day with the oscillating face brush; this will help with the exfoliation of the dry dead skin. With each treatment, my face looked "sun kissed" you can say. Areas treated were slightly pinkish, but that coloration will go away after a few hours... for me, others may differ. I didn't peel like what you see with normal peels from a dermatologist. My skin had fair dryness and patchiness but it never looked as though my skin was falling off my face, you will begin to see this after a day or two. Again, the exfoliation helps with removing this. I repeat the treatment until all the scars and dark spots have diminished and it took about one month for this to happen all over my face. Consistency is key.Overall this product has worked for me using the steps I mentioned. If you like to try it out, do so , but if you experience a severe reaction, stop immediately and don't give it a second chance. I hope this review was helpful.

Really does work!
*Edited July 2015: I made the below review easier to read and cut out some of the drama! Anyway, it's been over two years since I have been using the perfect image peels and they are a game changer for my face. I'm still super happy with them and these peels have pretty much solved my acne and hyper-pigmentation issues. Yay!---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I'm writing this review because the reviews already on Amazon encouraged me to try this product. I am so thankful for those reviews and for this product. This lactic acid peel by perfect Image has been a miracle. I'm 33, have light brown (1/2 Latina) skin and I've had really annoying and embarrassing adult acne the past 8ish years. Having acne has been a nightmare.I tried the glycolic peel by Perfect Image in November of 2012. It was great at lightening new and old hyper-pigmentation but didn't stop new acne from forming. I could even use the glycolic a few days in a row and my skin didn't seem to be too bothered by it.I bought the Perfect Image salicylic and lactic peels at the same time. I was nervous about damaging my skin so I tried the salicylic peel first and it turned all of my active acne into brown scabs. Not that cute, but I was willing to put up with it if my skin was clear. The salicylic was pretty drying to the rest of my face. A while later I tentatively tried the lactic acid peel. At the end of December and the entire month of January I used the lactic peel and was totally surprised that it worked better on my acne than the other two peels.**note: July 2015 I've used all of the perfect image peels and I still think the lactic peel works best at clearing up acne. When I started with the peel, I used the lactic acid peels 2-3 times per week and now I use it once a week or every other week. My skin might get one or two small zits but they are nothing compared to the drama I used to have going on. My pores are smoothing out and getting smaller, my hyper-pigmentation is faded, and scars are slowly disappearing. Now that my pores are smaller, there is less room for sebum to collect which seems to contribute to inflammatory acne. It is still obvious that I've had acne, but I don't look Halloween scary with bloody scabs from where I picked at my skin in hopes to make the bumps smaller. I go out without make-up and my skin is so soft and smooth. So yes, this stuff has been an amazing miracle. My life has been so much easier without worrying about new painful acne bumps forming daily. I'm so happy with this product. Here is my typical routine.Wash face with a mild cleanserPut on lip balm to protect lips70% rubbing alcohol on a cotton round all over my face (*edit I don't do this step anymore as it's too drying)Lactic Peel, (or the glycolic) solution all over my face with a brush or just my fingertipsWait 1-5+ minutesRinse thoroughly with cool water and pat dryAcure radical resurfacing creamLight layer of Alba 1% salicylic acne lotionGo to bedWake up Beautiful!Image oil free 32 spf sunscreen with zinc (best sunscreen ever)Make sure to exfoliate your skin with a cloth or a brush often too as this will help your skin to stay clear.Good luck :-)
