Gosudarev Zakaz Salmon (Red) Caviar 907 g (2 lbs) can

Our six-year-old son has loved caviar since his Ukrainian babushka brought some red Russian salmon caviar with her during one of her visits with us in the U.S. when he was two years old. I ordered this brand, as the one we have previously purchased on Amazon was not available for reordering, and I'm glad we did. It was ordered on July 29, 2020, and arrived today, August 7, 2020, just before noon (the first day of the one-week delivery window provided). The box was intact, well-packed with insulating styrofoam, packing peanuts, and two ice packs. The can was still cold, although the ice packs were melted. There was a dent in the side of the can that likely occurred during transport, but it was not a big deal and did not impact the seal in any way. It is much tastier than the prior one(s) we ordered, has great flavor, not overly salty, whole eggs (I only saw a couple broken ones when I opened the can, and not a lot of "juice" in the can, as the other brands had), and it has the plastic lid for sealing. I will definitely buy this again for our family to enjoy.

Low quality caviar, very salty and not dry. Not happy with the purchase.

Amazon mixed up the vendor I'm purchasing from with the vendor listing this same product for sale at the same price, but different seller, so My order went nowhere for 5 days.Once it shipped it was here by noon the next day, still cold & so far high quality, good packaging, product is excellent taste as expected.Be slow to speak, slow to anger, or You may demolish the wrong party, like I did.Will definitely order again.

A few days ago, I had a couple of friends over from Russia and they said that caviar was up to par even to Russian standard! We all enjoyed it - every bite of it! As for me personally, I must say it was kinda runny. Other than that, I’ve got no complains, whatsoever. Very fresh (right out of the can), neither overwhelmingly salty nor oily, and has no “bad” metallic aftertaste, as others have mentioned. I’d (and I will) highly recommend Gosudarev Zakaz to every true caviar lover! btw, just a “heads-up”, folks! Pay very close attention at FedEx 2-day S&H charges and see how they change accordingly up to your order quantity!!!

caviar was too salty with strong fishy smell. It was not horrible, not good enough either. Average product. it used to be better in the past.

Tastes good and is cheaper (per unit of weight) than competition. Shipped in a nice cooler, which keeps it cold long enough to survive shipping -- and a delay, if any. The last can was a little bent out-of-the-box, but not breached. I actually kept these jars to reuse (such as for fishing worms), because they close neatly with a plastic cover.It claims to be "made in the US", but does not specify the origin of the main ingredient. I wish, it were Alaska, but I have to suspect, the actual caviar is from Russia.

The perishable item, based on the shipping label, was shipped via USPS and took 5 days. When it arrived the regular ice packs were completely melted. The kaviar itself is extremely small (about 2mm diameter), and far too salty and bitter. Would be better to just buy locally than ordering this product, the quality is not worth the price, would not recommend. Very disappointed!

The caviar is very delicious. The egg size was not as large as I thought it's gonna be, but the freshness and taste were definitely beyond my expectations. For 2 pound can, the price seems to be fair. My family likes to eat it as a spread on white bread with some unsalted butter. It seems they like it so much that the whole can was almost gone during a couple of weeks, so I am considering to buy another one.
