Mathematics Higher Level for the IB Diploma Option Topic 7 Statistics and Probability

While the book gives generous and varied practice problems, which are color-coded by the difficulty (as a 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 scoring student would do), it gives almost no instruction. I am trying to use this as a text book with my students and it is simply not enough. I am spending about 4 hours supplementing the lessons for every class, during which I cover 2-3 sections of this book. It is like having a second job trying to supplement instruction for this workbook.Be prepared for "here is a review of a little bitty equation or formula that your students should have learned from someplace other than here" followed by problems that are too difficult for the guidance given.

The book is clearly aimed at the new syllabus. The colour-coding of exercises gives great indication to students of what level they are working at.

Lovely text book full of lovely Statistics and Probability questions. Usual errors in answers but very good book for the IB HL option.
