This perfume has a very soft floral scent. It is not too strong, or overpowering.

mom loved this perfume. the projection is insane. it smells like someone just dumped a million fresh flowers on you and simply doesn't annoy you no matter how much. beautiful and classy. would buy it again in a heartbeat!

I used a white rose scent years ago that was wonderful and have been looking for something similar ever since. Normally I would never order a scent this expensive without a tester, however, there was a notice "eligible for return thru January 31st" on the listing (right under the "add to cart" button), so I ordered it. The scent is a big disappointment--it barely even smells like roses to me. When I attempted to return it, it was denied. The "no returns of opened product" policy was NOT anywhere in the amazon listing. How do you know if something smells good or bad UNLESS YOU SNIFF IT. How do you do that through a sealed package?I requested that amazon make this right. The return guarantee may have been posted in error, but it WASNT MY ERROR. I have spoken to Amazon customer service about this several times and 2 customer service representatives told me they would honor the refund request. Then I was emailed with a denial of the request. Now I am appealing that decision. In the past I have been very pleased with Amazon customer service and products and rarely return anything, but this has really got me annoyed and feeling cheated.. Bad product, bad service, hopefully someone at Amazon will honor their promise.

I thought this perfume would be a very unique and complex, and have many layers and notes that would unfold as you wear it. Instead it just smelt like a old lady's powder box from Woolworth. Given all the hype around the history of the perfumery and the fragrance shop in London having gotten a Royal Stamp of Approval. I found the perfume very boring and powdery and it lacked any originality and did not have a signature sensory note or fragrance that you would recognize as the scent of Floris. Disappointing and a lot of money to spend to be let down by what could have easily been a beautiful perfume, The scent of Roses.
