Why does it specify a minimum width spout? Does this mean it doesn’t work in a jug with wide brim?

I idea about width spout but it works fine in a jug. That’s how I use it. It’s about 1cm diameter. It’s ok for water bottles to.

Can you easily remove the charcoal from locking Coil to reuse it with a new charcoal?

Yes. When it is delivered it is separate from the coil and you should be able to remove it from that if you change your mind. Using the coil is optional but handy.

Could this be used in the cold water dispenser on a fridge?

Absolutely - I use 2 in my 4.5 litre water dispenser. Although generally you would use 1 stick per litre, I find this to be sufficient, bearing in mind that the longer the charcoal is in the water the purer it gets.
