The whip came in a triangular cardboard box. Each side was about 6 inches but it was 4 feet long. Really? It was discreetly marked. The whip arrived in perfect condition. My wife and I have played with whips for years. We bought a riding crop years ago. We never liked it very much so we didn't use it very often. This crop is years ahead of that old piece of junk. We love this one. Very controllable, You can go from a light sting to raising welts. My wife likes to turn me facing her and whips my..... You can guess what she whips and it's very effective. We wish we had bought this years ago. We would highly commend to anyone that enjoys this kind of play. I can't comment on sturdiness or durability, we haven't had the whip that long. I can say it has a great design, looks well made, and works perfectly.

Not sure if this is a real riding crop, but I use it for other things... bed room stuff.The actual crop with the tip is already split into twos. It appears that it was glued together. Very poor quality, but the actual whip itself is quite sturdy. I only used it two or three times and only gentle usage.The ones that cost $1 in Taiwan is about the same quality and its the same issue. The tip always breaks b/c its glued together

Okay. I'm going to start by saying this is a review for it being used as a bedroom toy and not its intended purpose.This is probably my favorite toy. It's very high quality and it has that amazing new leather smell.However DO keep in mind that this is REAL. If you hit someone, it will hurt and it will leave mark and it WILL draw blood with the right angle and pressure. I've drawn blood once with my pet, and while he didn't mind, someone else might. PLEASE make sure that your partner is aware of this before using.
