⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I highly recommend the APC UPS 650VA/390W Battery Backup & Surge Protector for PC, NAS (BE650G1). This product does exactly what it says it will do and absolutely lives up to its reputation. I currently have four APC battery backup units in my home, and I have never had a single issue with any of them. Whenever the power goes out, they just keep right on trucking, providing uninterrupted power and giving me plenty of time to safely shut down my equipment if needed. This UPS offers reliable battery backup and excellent surge protection, making it a great choice for protecting valuable electronics such as PCs, NAS devices, TVs, gaming consoles, modems, routers, and other sensitive equipment. I own several of these some a old as 14 years. They are very durable the only maintenance required is to change the battery every three to five years. I love the ability to be able to program them with the app. I can even program them to turn on if even for a moment if there is to much distortion on the power coming from the power distribution company. There are other parameters that can be set some are similar to those offered by other manufacturers, the difference is APC backups can be set to tighter tolerances. I have a standby generator so when the power fails I know I don't have to worry about turning off any of my electronics because the backup power supply will carry the load until the generator picks up the load which is only seconds. Also the backup power supply will kick in with voltage surges or low supply voltage which I can set to kick in at a voltage I choose.

I installed this UPS and ironically the following two days we had terrible electric storms and power went out these two consecutives days, the UPS kicked in without a glitch both times. I am using it it mostly to protect and keep my fiber modem running as well as my computer switch, so my internet stays up during these electric storms. On the second day the power was out for almost one hour and the UPS battery was still delivering power to these two devices, so I really was glad that I had a real life scenario to test it.

I really REALLY like this unit. I previously had the other big brand and didn't like it much. It was constantly beeping in the middle of the night, which never made sense to me - why do I need to be woken up at 3 a.m. to be told the power's out, just do your damn job, UPS, and keep the power going if something's plugged in! This one has downloadable software that let's you choose your settings, one of which is to turn off those stupid f'ing beeps. Moving along ... I just pulled the power cord out of the wall to see how long the battery would last. I've got a PC (with a mobile CPU), monitor, mic, and set of speakers plugged into it. It's been 31 minutes and the battery is still showing 54 %. To me, that seems pretty damn good. These units are not made to give you hours and hours of power - they're supposed to give you enough time to gently shut down your system. It looks like I could get about an hour out of it, and that's pretty good. I like this unit and am probably going to buy another one.

It has worked several times. One problem is the supposed download to allow it to restart. It does not work in fact after download zip files do not actually appear. Could be my inability or it does not function properly. Downloaded several times same problem. Tried to report to the company, no response. At least it does protect the files.

Love it and immediately reordered. Had some water dump directly onto the unit today...had some green onions in a tiny cup of water in the window directly above it. What are the odds. It made the most INTERESTING sound! Panic ensued until I realized I could get a new one in the next few hours. 11 years and I replaced the battery only last year. So I highly recommend it.

This is a great backup system. Numerous times, either during storms or someone hitting a pole, when my power has gone out unexpectedly this has saved my computer. Instances where I didn’t even realize my power went out because my desk and computer stayed powered on. Gives me plenty of time to save what I’m doing and safely close out and shut down.

He comprado varios y todos han funcionado mas allá de lo esperado, el mas viejo que tengo tiene al menos 4 años y ni siquiera he tenido que cambiar la batería. Muy recomendable pra proteger equipos de bajo consumo como routers, laptops, etc.

Using the non battery side for TV, Bose Soundbar, Bose Subwoofer and Starlink Power Brick. (Starlink heavy on power especially during Snow/Ice thaw cycles.) I use the battery backup side for PS5, XBOX - X, Mac Mini M2, and a low powered ethernet hub. At first the APC 650 VA worked when the power went off but it didn't switch back to utility power when the standby generator kicked in. This caused it to deplete the battery and shutdown all my equipment that was in Standby mode after a few hours. After watching a few videos on YouTube and figuring that I needed to adjust the APC's sensitivity setting to LOW, it now works as intended. Check out videos on YouTube to figure out the settings you need for your specific model. Very happy with the product. AND the alarm on this model can be shut off but is in no way annoying like other brands or models I've used.

I use this device to provide power conditioning and uninterruptible power to my TV and related devices. It will allow me to power down these attached electronics in a controlled and timely manner if power is lost in the house. I get peace of mind knowing my investment in home entertainment is protected from "hard" shutdowns that are not good for senstive electronics. I have 4 APC UPC devices protecting computers, external hard drives and health related equipment in my home. I have used APC products for 10 + years and trust them to protect all my stuff. GordK

I bought this because when the power goes out for my pellet stove it would fill up the house with smoke. This runs the pellet stove long enough to get rid of the smoke and shut the unit down exactly what I needed.

received in well packaged box with everything included. clear instructions for hooking up battery (shipped disconnected) feels like a high quality product but I wish the outlets were spaced further apart as many plugs these days are oversized. An update on how well it performs in a power outage will have to wait. all the outlets are surge protected but only half of them have back-up power on the battery. Not really a problem but it didn't seem to be advertised in the product description.
