I discovered this genre about two years ago. I was more of a paranormal reader before I was introduced to so many amazing authors in the NA genre. So when my favorite genre and my favorite author are having a party, I'm the first one to attend! :) Chase Me, by Tessa Bailey, was freakin' fantabulous!!! If you have read Tessa's previous books you probably know that the characters that are fighting for her attention in her writing cave (Oh, what would I give to spend a day there!!!) are IRRESISTIBLE! The first installment of Tessa Bailey's new series will give you all the feels. It's sweet, sexy, romantic, funny and panty-melting hot! Chase Me is the story of Roxy Cumberland and Louis Mc Nally II. Roxy's dreams of becoming an actress in New York, but the lack of interest of the people in the show business world is really making her road to success a bumpy one. When she gets kicked out of her apartment because it's one too many times she can't pay the rent, Roxy turns to a job offer that is not was she had hoped for, but that will at least help her put food in her mouth. When she knocks on a door wearing a pink bunny costume the last thing she expect is to come face-to-face with a hot-as-hell guy. Louis has no clue who the girl behind the pink bunny costume is. After an awkward singing telegram, and an even more awkward conversation, he’s intrigued. When she's about to leave he has one request for her: he wants to see her face. What he sees leaves him breathless and the unforgettable kiss she gives him leaves him speechless. Louis will do whatever it takes to find her. When theirs path’s cross again, Louis is determined to show her that there is more to him. Chasing a pink bunny all over New York City is far from easy, but Louis is ready to get in all kinds of trouble to get Roxy. I freakin' loved Chase Me!!! I was cheering for Team Loxy from beginning to end! It's so easy to fall in love with them! When I read one of Tessa's books I feel like two of my good friends are on this incredible journey to finding love. I stick by their side through ups and downs, and I cheer for them in their moments of happiness. The connection that I feel towards these characters is indescribable! Their chemistry is undeniable and out of this world HOT! Their banter between them is crazy addictive and it left me LOL in so many occasions. I loved how both these characters grew together on this journey. They learned a lot from each other and ended up finding love when they least expected it. It shows that Tessa Bailey had a blast writing Chase Me. It was fun, flirty and fantastic! Each time she starts a new series she does a fantastic job at introducing us to the characters that will make us get lost in their worlds. The supporting cast of characters for Chase Me is sublime! They all fit perfectly in the story. I can't wait to read more about all of them. Need Me is the next installment in the Broke and Beautiful series. This will be Honey and Ben's book. Honey is Roxy's roommate and Ben is Louis' good friend. This will be a forbidden student/teacher romance. Eeeeep! So excited to read about these two!!!! I give, Chase Me, by Tessa Bailey, 5 entertaining, sexy, fantastic, page-turning, pink bunny stars! Review: A sweet and funny read! - Roxy and Louis's story was funny at times, and super hot at others. I loved the premise of this story and this book had me hooked from start to finish. Roxy meets Louis in the most unconventional way.. She's dressed up as a bunny singing him a singing telegram about his ... well you get the point. Roxy is just embarrassed, and Louis is drawn to her without even seeing her face. When he finally sees her, and they share the kiss of a lifetime, Louis can't get Roxy out of his head. Louis doesn't believe in relationships, but something about Roxy makes him want to spend more time with her. I loved seeing him not be the stereotypical man whore, and instead trying to prove her and everyone else wrong. We as readers know who he was before he met Roxy, but instead of slipping into his old ways, he did everything in his power to prove to her he was and could be different for her. Roxy is an amazing character. She's very independent, and strong. She doesn't do relationships of any type. Friends - No, Boyfriends - No, Family - No.. all she has is herself, and she's perfectly happy with it. I loved how she tried to do everything on her own and even though she was stubborn at times, her strength is really something to admire. Watching Roxy come out of her shell and slowly begin to let Louis in was sweet, but I particularly liked Abbie and Honey, her new roommates. These girls cracked me up, and definitely helped bring Roxy out of her shell as well, and they definitely provided some laughs in this book. I loved seeing the playboy, who's never been in a relationship, chasing Roxy all through town trying to get her to give him the time of day and to spend time with him. Not only is this book a humorous love story, but it is also HOT!!! Some of the scenes between Louis and Roxy... wow... just WOW! I loved how I could be laughing one minute and then fanning myself the next. These two are on fire, and I loved this about them. The one thing I wish was different in this book was the ending. I loved their story, but I felt that the ending was too rushed and even though it was a HEA, I felt like we were still missing a whole chunk of their story. I really hope we get more of them and see what's next in their lives in the Honey and Ben's book, because I still have some questions regarding what is next for them! Overall this is a really good book that will have you laughing. This is a sweet romance and a definite quick read.

Fun, but not enough depth
The two main characters fall for each other instantly, so not much tension there. The dialog was fine and it was well enough written, but the hero was a little too perfect to be believable. His one fault (besides that in that past he had been a ladies' man, though he instantly knows that this time it is true love) is that he calls in a favor to get Roxy an audition. He is trying to take care of her when she wants to do this alone. That is not enough of a problem to build a whole story on. He reads her every mood and facial expression correctly, he brings ice cream to her hormonal roommates who are way over the top pms-ing, the sex is amazing, he isn't just a high powered attorney, he also does pro-bono work for the poor, just everything too pat. The scrappy heroine is not even all that likeable, she races to get a cheap apartment in elbows aside the other girl racing for the apartment. Then she curses down to the other girls hoping to get a chance to apply for the apartment and tells them all to leave. And then even though she hands the girl who is renting out the apartment that she can't cash the rent check yet, the girl is okay with all of this, she doesn't want to check out a few of the other girls? That was not believable, nor was the almost instant friendship she had with her roommates. So, although I enjoyed some of the humor and appreciated that the two main characters were honest with each other as much as they could be (barring the H not telling her about the audition), everything else seemed superficial to me.

Fantastic chemistry
I love the chemistry between the main characters. Between how they meet and all their interactions, I enjoy the humor in the story. It’s definitely an opposites attraction situation and I can’t wait to read all of Tessa Bailey’s books.

The Louis Effect is real.
To be honest, I was reluctant to pick up a Tessa Bailey NA book after my lukewarm experience with Unfixable (for those who know me, Tessa's books are an auto-buy, and this is really weird for me to be saying this out loud), but this NA series took me by surprise. Chase Me tells the story of college drop-out Roxy Cumberland out on a mission to become an actress and make it big in NYC. But while reality (and her dwindling bank account) is putting a damper on her dream, she tries to stay afloat by performing singing telegrams. She meets lawyer Louis McNally II while on the job, and she thinks she's got him all figured out. Louis is smitten by the sassy and beautiful Roxy and proves to her that he's not the spoiled, rich boy she thought he was. While I wouldn't argue that this trope has been used and abused many times, clichéd would be the last thing I'd describe this book. It has an all-too familiar trope, but the characters are what made this novel truly memorable. Roxy epitomized someone who's working hard to earn her place in this world on her own merits. She was everything my co-bloggers and I described as a heroine we'd all love to read about. I especially loved reading Roxy's travails on how she had to take up jobs she deemed embarrassing just to make ends meet. She was sassy, spirited, and most importantly, a doer. Louis was also similar to Roxy in some aspects, but his altruism, loyalty, and kindness made him stand out. He was different from Tessa's other characters in the sense that he had a distinct "voice". Sure he was a dirty talker and a softie, but there's just something special about him that made him recognizable from the Line of Duty boys. And as always, the chemistry in this Tessa Bailey book was just scorching as the weather (in Manila at least). Roxy and Louis sizzled right from their first meeting and everything was just get-a-fan moment from there. The overall humor in this story was what made my reading experience so much fun. There were just too many golden moments in this book that had me laughing out loud, but perhaps the most memorable were Louis's moments with his sisters and when he pacified Roxy's PMSing roommates. Roxy's character in this story was very strong, but it was Louis who stole the show for me. This "chase me" game was a lot of fun to read that I was always on my toes and kept turning the pages just to know what happened next. The conflict and resolution was also set up really well that even if I knew everything was going to fall on Louis's head in an epic argument, it was still a satisfying read. The only thing that held me back in giving this book a 5-star review was the rather hectic ending. I would have liked to see the resolution played up a bit more instead of just ending it abruptly, albeit in a happy tone. Review posted on WillReadforFeels.com

Good light reading
The book was funny and well written. Nothing to complicated or heart breaking. It wasn't the best book I read or made me thinking about it days after finishing but nonetheless still a good quick fun read. Like other reviewers, I couldn't quite connect with Roxy. She was aloof and cold at times. I understand her need to be independent but she just didn't seem like a nice person at all. Louis, on the other hand, is amazing. Good hearted, smart, sexy, funny, etc. He was perfect!! To be honest, I'm not sure why he was so stuck on Roxy. She was always sort of a B to him.

Louis + Roxy = Perfection
Just when I think that I can’t love Tessa Bailey more, she goes and writes Chase Me. Yeah, I am going to gush. The only reason I haven’t finished this review is because I am irritating Siri trying to find synonyms for the word brilliant. She’s about to reach through my device and strangle me. Chase Me was a book in which I knew within the first 2 paragraphs that I was in love. In love with the story. In love with Louis and Roxy and their brilliantly madcap courtship. In love with all of the supporting characters. But mostly, I was completely and totally in love with the way Tessa Bailey wrote this book. (Spoiler Alert – I am a huge fan) Chase Me reads like the best romantic comedy film — it will make you laugh (a lot), it will make you cry (depending on your hormonal levels) and it will make you want to cut a bitch (a few times). This book is also about perceptions and just how we might misjudge others because of their occupation, station in life or even the shoes they wear. It’s about how we might close ourselves off to a chance at love or friendship because of pure stubbornness. But it’s also about pushing those things aside and embracing the opportunity. Remember what I said about “gushing”? Roxy Cumberland is my new book girlfriend. I am declaring it right here, right now. This girl is what we like to call a pistol — I loved her strength and independence. Roxy had the fire in her belly to be successful, but I worried for her, as one would. But outside of forgetting every once in a while that she was a fictional character, Roxy felt very real to me. There are hundreds of women out there doing exactly what she was doing, just without the bunny suit (to find out what that means, you have to read the book!) and the very quick wit. Dear lord, Louis McNally is Roxy’s perfect foil. On the Book Boyfriend Scale (it’s a thing), would rate him an 11. He’s adorable with approach abs (again, you must read the book) who is an attorney with a heart of gold (Right?). But what we got to see is a guy who because of his genetic make-up is a fixer. That for me is catnip. It made him that much more amazing to me. Oh and our Louis — he’s a superbly, bone melting dirty talker. Let that little fact marinate for a bit. I loved these two so much – they were such a great couple. My favorite thing about them was their discovery of each other – personalities, vulnerabilities, what was most important to the other. I loved that exploration and think it made me enjoy their story that much more. That said these two had a freaking molten chemistry that made me need a very cold shower. I’ve gone on and on about Chase Me, but honestly it is fabulous. It’s the perfect opener for the Broke and Beautiful series. I can’t wait for the next two books.

A sizzling story of two people attracted to each other despite their disparate life styles
If you like romance novels, this is a sizzling story of two people attracted to each other despite their disparate life styles. Roxy is one spunky would-be actress, willing to do almost anything to make her way in the cut-throat world of New York City. Louis is a great lawyer who wants only pro-bono cases. To say that sparks fly right from the moment Roxy rings his bell would be an understatement. Misunderstandings are rampant, as are the terrific descriptions of what happens when they find themselves alone...any time, any where. Roxy is sure Louis sees her a just one of a series of disposable women, while Louis can't fathom what's hit him. Chase Me is funny, touching, faster than light, and just as dazzling. Teresa Bailey has a way with words, and a feel for believable characters and action. And check out the scene with the file cabinet! Hot!
