Q: Is it possible to buy one can? My cat is finicky and would prefer not to spend over $100 for something she won't eat!

My cat is Hyperthyroid.It presently is controlled by Methimasol Ear Cream which is compounded by a local compounding pharmacy which costs me $65.00 per month. The cream is placed in the ear twice a day which is absorbed by the skin to medicate her. My cat tried this food about a year ago.I didn't stick with it because its expensive and I have 3 other cats who would want to eat it too. Anyway,I think it's the only way to treat Hyperthyroidism without toxins or chemicals. The food was palatable to my cat at that time. I got it from the vet usually or she would call in a perscription to Chewy if she was out of it. The food cannot or should not be eaten by any other cat because it is made without iodine.Which the other cats need.

Q: Any idea why the price for the canned food doubled? Chewy (and others) have it for the old price still.

Yes because this person is price gouging. Seller info is hidden. Chewy had it back in stock for a couple of days and I was lucky enough to grab 2 cases. I literally search every day. Good luck, I feel your pain. It's all my cat can eat because he had a bad reaction to the meds and he's too old for surgery.

Q: Do i need a dr perscription when ordering this food?

Absolutely you must have a perscription to buy this food any other place. It is made intentionally without iodine which is an essential nutrient for all other animals.so it would be dangerous for cats who do not have hyperthyroidism.
