Working great for my Hunter Heater
*update* 1 week later, the sensor has died...what the heck? Now it only turns on and off...seems the sensor didn't last at all..it has not moved and been in position for a week?! I see nothing wrong with it...not happy.I have a VERY old hunter heater that still works (and will probably still outlast the newer models, lol). The temperature sensor died after what maybe 30-40 years? Lol...other replacements were very expensive. This unit fit the bill, all I had to do was drill two holes 90 degrees in the back mounting face, as the holes were turned and the limit switch wouldn't fit without doing so. All in all, it took only a few minutes extra. Temperature seems to cycle well, very sensitive control at least when used in the small bathroom its in.

Using it to control my 12vdc Greenhouse Fan
It works as advertised but in my opinion has a couple of problems. I think that the differential (temp gap between turn on/turn off) is too great, seems to be about 20 or 25 degrees. The thermostat indicator dial is not even moderately accurate. When set at 80 degrees it turns on at 109 and off at about 85. I take this to mean that the dial indicator may be meant for the turn off temp and not the turn on.In general I am satisfied but the accuracy for my application is not as good as I would like. In a car it would probably be fine.

Perfect for an automotive condenser fan.
I decided to purchase this thermal switch because it has a large temperature range and it appeared to be built with decent quality in the images.I installed this thermal switch to control my AC condenser fans. The probe fit very nicely/snugly into the condenser fins. After following the alignment instructions from the images on Amazon, I was able to validate that the temperature reading on the knob is correct.Only time will tell as to the longevity of the switch. It appears to be good quality.

Length of sensor is too short to use for anything...
The sensor is only 30" long .Does not reach radiator from firewall.does not reach radiator from side wall .So far I can find no where to install it .. Not sure what to do .. Might work on a lawnmower.. mini bike ...scooter...

Temp Range Too Wide
Although this does work the range of temperature that controls the on/off is too wide and would not work as a media closet fan controller. I ended up using a cheap thermostat and wiring a 12v fan across the cooling terminals.I coupled it through a speed controller and this fan using a 12v power source.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C18BZNF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T3TK3EW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Good fan conversation solution.
Probe died on my old one, swapped it with this guy. The dial is nice vs using the infrared gun to get it set up.

So far so good.
Seems to be working OK, Just not sure how to set it with the dial not accurate. We'll see, thanks
