Gardener's Best Friend
Love the weight, not too heavy but has a substantial feel. Good size for my hands and I have average to slightly above average hands. Wife also likes them and her hands are small so I'd say its a good universal size/weight. They're stainless steel, not just the blades but all parts appear to be as well. I have left them out in the rain a few times now and no signs of rust to speak of. All my previous pairs showed signs of rust after leaving them out just once. I'm pretty notorious for leaving my pruners out (not intentionally but it happens lol). Handles are also very comfortable and are coated in a grip coating that keeps them from getting slippery when wet or moist while pruning in the morning while there is still dew on the plants. Finally, they come very sharp. Not razor sharp but sharp enough to make you not want to touch the blade and they cut through small branches with ease. Overall, I found no faults with them, they are a breeze to use, feel like a quality product and are priced very reasonably. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again should these somehow disappear out in the garden; thankfully that's the only scenario where I see a need to replace them given that they wont be rusting on me like my previous pairs.

Well Made, SHARP, narrow, comfortable in your hand. Bonsai tool for sure!
The media could not be loaded. Heavy in the hand, soft rubber handle covers, extremely sharp! These gardenite snips are nicely made and have a lock that remains open or closed without sliding back and forth.I think the price/quality combination is pretty unbeatable. They cut flower stems very clean which is important to me as I don't want the remaining plant to be damaged more than it has to be.I highly recommend that you purchase a holster so that you can have them clipped to your pocket or belt for added convenience.Sharp, stainless steel blades are just the right combination of narrow (for getting into small twigs) and strength for cutting those thicker dead twigs without damaging the pruners. 5/15" max diameter dead twig cutting.I definitely am happy with them and give Five Stars for the quality at this price. I endorse them without reservation.

Well-designed little pair of snips!
I was going to wait a couple of months to assess durability before I posted a review on this, but I liked the first shear that I got so much that after a couple of weeks, I bought a second one!I bought this because I was tired of deadheading flowers by decapitating it with my fingers (and sometimes inadvertently damaging the stem or other plant parts)---after using it outside, I bought a 2nd one for inside for those house plants that have brown parts or whatever that you want to trim off, or for minor pruning of things like ficus trees.I did a fair amount of research before buying---I wanted something compact, something that had a blade-close mechanism that was NOT that irritating little loop in the back, and I needed something with good quality sharp stainless steel blades (for this unit, it looks good, but the jury on long-term durability is still out----but if I have issues with the blades rusting even when protected, or doing anything else bad, I'll update this review). As of now, about a month or so after purchase, I'm impressed--the little clipper is nicely balanced, the blades seem sharp, the open/close mechanism is easy to use, and the rubber-coated hand grips make it feel stable in your hand. It would be nice if there were a slightly larger version (longer snips, slightly bigger hand grip) for increased accessibility to interior plant parts and for increased comfort, but I'm still pretty happy with the current version. Will update the review if I run into any negatives over the coming months...

Pruners come & pruners go.
Pruners come & pruners go.Every gardener has probably gone through more pruners than they can remember. Some break before their time. Some are so bad you wish they would break & give you an excuse to get a different pair. The Ultra Snip 6.7 inch may very well be the last set of pruners I will ever have to buy, unless someone takes them. This is the best pair of pruners I have ever had in my hands & my hands are size XXL.I have had many big name pruners that I couldnt wait to get rid of.Big name brands are not always great products.I dont know anything about the Ultra Snip maker.Who they are, where they are, etc & I dont care; cause it makes no difference to the product.I use these many times every day. They are the most comfortable pair I have ever used & there were many pairs before them.I'm guessing it has to do with the grip ending next to the pivot point, unlike most where the pivot is an inch or more beyond your hand. The grip itself is very comfortable; but I think the leverage with the pivot set deeper in your hand makes them such good smooth cutters. My wife likes a pair of coronas I had, because they strip rose thorns.I hated that pair of pruners; because they were very hard & uncomfortable to use.So theres something for everyone. She doesnt use the coronas most of the day every day, but I do use the Ultra Snips that way.If your not happy with the pruners you've had or are using now,I suggest you try a pair of the Ultra Snips.Like me you just might find the last pair you'll ever buy, unless of course someone takes them.

Pleased
Great pruners. The latch is one of the better ones on the market for "needle point" pruners. It doesn't catch the way that many can. It has a nice feel in your hand, and I like that it springs back after each cut. This enables you to not have to use your hand to pull them apart for the next cut. They are sharp, but I do wish they had a bit more power. I'm getting a bit picky with that. I spend an average of 3-4 hours a day in our gardens. The tools I use have to pass the test. These do, and they are in my garden tool belt all day. I am pleased with them and would purchase them again. I love Bonsai pruners for getting into really tight areas, and these come almost as close. The spring back and latch make this pruner better than Bonsai pruners.
