Tangy, cocktail sauce vibe
Very tasty - like a beefy steak sauce mixed with a shrimp cocktail sauce. Since it’s a bit heavier on the cocktail sauce flavor I think I’ll try it with some shrimp or crab cocktail.

Hard find
I knew about this only in FL. I couldn’t find it here in NE even tho it’s made in NY. This sauce is so good , it will replace ketchup if you use it . The flavor is so unique and delicious.

Glad to have it.
Everybody loves this stuff. We used to get it at any supermarket but since moving south, it's hard to find. On Amazon it's like $8+, so you've gotta mix it into a $35 order to get free shipping, but that's still a little steep. It came in bubble wrap and cold in the box with my other items.

OMG, this stuff is a high fructose sugary horrible mess!
I am dumbfounded with all the great reviews of this sauce. Got a bottle and was so excited to try it but ended up throwing the entire bottle in the trash. First sniff I knew something was wrong as it smelled like a super sweet cocktail sauce even though it says "low calorie" on the bottle. Sure, low calorie if you don't count the fact that it's full of High Fructose Corn Syrup! Sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and corn syrup are the 3rd, 4th, and 5th ingredients. Add to the the fact that tomato is first, and horseradish is 6th, and you get basically a super sweet thin cocktail sauce, which I can tell you does NOT go well with steak. If you think that sounds like a good combo then save yourself a bunch of money and just buy cocktail sauce and add a bunch of sugar and a little water.

It can't beat actually eating at Peter Luger, but it comes pretty darn close.
The only better thing than eating this sauce next to a steak on our dining room table is eating this sauce next to the steak served at Peter Luger's dining room table. Mostly because I don't have to do the work. But also because their steaks are a wee bit better. Even if I won't admit that fact to my kids. Yeah, it's THAT good. Do yourself a favor and book a reservation at the Brooklyn location as a special treat. Order their traditional steaks, plus highly recommend the wedge salad and bacon slabs for starters, German hash as a side, and ice cream Sundae for dessert (extra fudge on the side). and yes, for those other times in your own dining room kitchen, there's this sauce.

Good, but different!
Tastes like shrimp cocktail sauce mixed with a sweet bbq sauce. It pairs well with a steakhouse style burger! Definitely not your typical steak sauce compared to A1 or 57 sauce.

The Peter Luger Steak Sauce is a harmonious blend of tangy and sweet.
The Peter Luger Steak Sauce is a harmonious blend of tangy and sweet, with a subtle spice kick that complements rather than overwhelms. Its rich, robust texture clings beautifully to the steak, enhancing every bite with a depth of flavor that is both unique and memorable. The sauce's versatility is also impressive, proving to be an excellent addition to not just steaks, but also other grilled meats, poultry, and even as a dressing for salads for me.
