do NOT purchase this product! We've only had it for a week and not only does it not cool our 200 square foot apartment, but it is LEAKING all over our floor--yes, we tried draining it, but it begins leaking again soon after

Barely keeps my bedroom cool, and I have it set at the lowest temp of 63 farenheit. Also, the exhaust pipe was near impossible to get out of it due to the instructions not clearly stating how to get the cover off the area it was stored in. And I had to duct tape where it attaches to the unit AND where it attaches to the window slide to keep hot air from coming back into my room.

For starters, it's easier to install than I expected. The instructions were simple and took no time in start using it. Delivery came as promised. This could have been 5 stars if only it delivers more cold air than I needed. Maybe I need a bigger unit than the one I ordered. However, it's hard to be wrong at the bargain price I paid.

It is the most awesome thing for hot days! It works really well. It is capable of cooling down an entire medium-sized room in a matter of maybe 20 minutes. Just note that installation of the panel with the exhaust on your window needs extra items in order for them to stay intact but then again, this is way easy to install versus a window unit. The model that I bought came with all the parts. Shipping was great. It came on the date it was promised to be delivered. It is a space saver as well. Love, love, love this unit!!!

who new, new lifesmart is a good machine. ahh. coolness in this 90degrees weather. one thing I have yet to do, the draining. u need to drain, hose not provided, in a high humidity environment. set up took an hour and a half. great product.

This product does NOT cool 500 square feet. My studio is much smaller than that and it barely cools it, on days that are not too hot. On very hot days, you barely notice it's on. On top of that, it leaks water through the bottom, which I have been able to control, fine. However it fills a mop bucket daily. Worse, after using it a year, it's now constantly spitting water along with the cool air, I mean a LOT. The first time it happened I was in shock. I went out that day, for a few hours, and left it running, and when I came back, a spot in my bed was wet, as with one whole cup of liquid. The only reason I did not give only one star is because I bought this unit at about half the price posted here.
