Pros outweigh Cons
I wanted a new case to replace my hard, heavy shell-case and this one had everything i needed with minimal downsides. After a months use, here are the pros/cons, mostly repeats of other reviewers.Pros:1. Holds all my stuff- tuner, rosin, shoulder rest, 2 bows, 5x8 music book, and fiddle. You have no idea how awesome it is to have a case that hold my shoulder rest!2. Backpackable (Optional straps are worth it if you walk or bike).3. Velcro keeps fiddle and shoulder rest secure when walking or biking.4. Sturdy nylon and zips seem very durable and the shell feels solid enough to withstand an accidental tumble.Cons:1. The backpack shoulder straps on the bottom of the case make for an unlevel surface for getting your fiddle out. You could easily take the backpack straps off and store, but its an inconvienience and I am too lazy to do that. At home i put the case on the arms of a sofa chair to open and that works. Future designs of this case should have the backpack straps attachment location be on the front/top of the case. That way they can stay on and the bottom stays level to remove instrument.2. I have no idea what the hydrometer needs to be at or how it works and no direction were provided. At this point, it could fall out and I wouldn't care. (It is actually secure, I tugged on it too.)3. 8.5 x 11 sized sheet music or books won't fit, but I just fold the paper and my book is small enough to fit.Bottom Line:For my needs, pros outweigh cons 10 fold, I love this case. I read reviews before purchasing, so I was primed to expect a bit of inconvenience. If the pros outweigh the cons for you then this is your case!

A well-designed product.
This is an excellently designed product. Inside there is well-organized space for the instrument, resin, shoulder rest, & tuner, and the space is well designed for protection of the instrument. The top zipper compartment is large enough to hold a spiral notebook and has a place for pens, strings and other small items. There is also a zippered compartment on the bottom side of the case which is large enough for 8 1/2 x 11" paper. The case is light weight but sturdy. It was nice to have a choice of color other than black.

Good case; don't bother with the backpack strap
Overall, I'm happy with the case. It's lightweight and protects my violin. I took off a star because my music doesn't fit in the pockets. The case won't sit flat with the backpack strap on and it's a real hassle to put it on and take it off each time I use it.

I LOVE this case...
The interior is black, which was a little off putting at first, but I kept the case because it is so well made. The materials, the finishing touches, and the sturdiness are all fantastic. The outside pockets fit lots of my music books, notes, and it has special places for pencils, cellphone, wallet, etc. The interior areas are also very good. I get complimented on this case all the time, the outside color is totally fabulous. This case was worth every penny. Highly recommend you buy this case.

Light and well-designed
Because of my previous good experiences with other Protec cases for some of my other instruments, I tried the Protec Deluxe case and the Protec Travel Light case. I chose the Travel Light case because its weight when fully loaded is super easy to haul around airports and the slightly smaller size fits in smaller overhead bins. The storage spaces inside the case are just enough for my accessories. After four airplanes so far, I am really happy with the case. My only concern is with the sheet music pocket on the back side/bottom side of the case; its rounded corners limit the sizes of sheets that will fit, and the pocket cases the case to not sit flat on its surface.

Why would anyone make a sheet music pocket that can hold NO sheet music???
Everything about this case is pretty good- looks nice, good value, zippers and attachments seem sturdy, quite lightweight, AWESOME backpack attachments available, nice compartments, cute color. I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that it has 2 external pouches and NEITHER of them fit any type of sheet music at all!!!! This blows my mind! It would have been so easy to make one of the pouches large enough for sheet music folders; all kinds of cases have come up with creative ways to do this (velcro attachments, fold out extensions of pockets or just a bigger pocket). SO EASY. And I don't mean you can't fit folders- I mean you can't fit anything that isn't 8.5 x 11, which 90% of sheet music isn't. This is frustrating because transporting sheet music is a known musician's conundrum, and one could intuit that anyone transporting a violin might also be inclined to transport music. I got this case because I wanted to have a backpack case that would allow me to carry my violin comfortably as my main bag (especially for travel). As it is, I need to carry a shoulder bag or briefcase for music and laptop, which pretty much defeats the purpose of trying to limit shoulder pain by getting the backpack style case. Very unnecessarily inconvenient, and such a bummer from an otherwise well-made and carefully thought-out case construction.

Great design inside and outside.
Great design inside and outside. One of the best travel bags out there for Violin. It is nice to see the humidity level inside the bag to watch for the ideal weather conditions for the instrument. But of course you need to get a humidifier sponge which is less than 10 dollars.

Excelente producto

Me gusto mucho.
