Use a little common sense! You MUST READ this!
I read the reviews, couldn't WAIT to chime-in! I don't know why people think they're going to pick up starters, alternators, and transmissions with these things! They need to use their heads for something besides an orb to separate their ears! I've had a pair of these for YEARS (a Big-Box retailer sold them in pairs a few years back) and they're ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! It shouldn't have to be pointed-out to people with a reasonable amount of sense that they're to be used to pick up dropped socks; keys; spoons; forks; knives; maybe dropped food - but they're NOT to be used to pick up a 40 (that's a 40oz. Malt Liquor for those of you who don't know) - even a 12oz. soda can stretches the limits. Canned goods are also stretching the limits, but can be done in a pinch - just don't try to stock the shelves with case-after-case of canned corn... A 10 inch Crescent wrench is too heavy (although I've DONE it, but it takes SKILL!) Again: use your head! - It's not unlike those folks we all know that shouldn't have offspring: you can't have unreasonable expectations of a young child - nor should you try to pick up starters and alternators with a light-duty grabber! These are AMAZING when used reasonably! You can pick up a DIME with these - WITH EASE! Their rubber (?) grips are amazing and dextrous! Pick up a PORTION of your pants, enough to get a hold of with your other hand - but you're NOT gonna be able to pick up your pants and put them on the top shelf of your closet, using JUST these grabbers! Again: use your head! Use them to ASSIST you in retrieving those SMALLER things that you can't stoop-over to get, 'cause your fat gut cuts-off your breathing when you bend-over (that's the voice of personal experience right there!) "The doctor told me to watch my weight, so, I got it out there where I could SEE it! But if he tells me to watch my FEET, I'm in trouble!" I'll say it again: I've had a pair of these for YEARS, and I absolutely LOVE them! Somebody recently broke one of my old ones, trying to do something STOOPID, like, I dunno - picking up a starter motor. They thought by increasing their grip with these, they could DO it. Surprise! Idiot BROKE my beloved grabber, by being an idiot! I was SO THRILLED to find them here on Amazon - and in SPITE of reviews to the contrary, I KNEW, from YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, that these things are GREAT! I got a PAIR of them, 'cause I thought of another place I could keep one, so there's always one handy! Do I love these things a little too much? MAYBE! But do they DESERVE all of this praise? YOU BET! Don't get just ONE - get enough to keep one handy when you need it! Kitchen; bedside; computer desk; couch end table; laundry room; garage; game room. . .

Great Grippers
I used these for the first time and they are by far some of the best and very sturdy. I was surprised they gripped items and did not slip out of the gripper. I have purchased others similar to these and they were not as sturdy. I use these to clean over my doorways and over my windows which have a display panel for pictures or trophies. I hold a damp towel on the gripper to wipe the panels and it's perfect for cleaning. I would definitely recommend these gripper for all ages. They are also good for picking up twigs or items the wind blew in my yard.

Broke after uses
This was light weight & easy to use but it broke with very little use. The rubber part split in the middle making it useless. I recommend looking for one that has a split between the two rubber sides rather than one continuous piece in a U shape.

Great price handy tool
I needed this after my back surgery when I wasn’t allowed to bend, twist, reach, or squat. Invariably I would drop something. I could count on my husband to pick every little thing. The delivery was quick and to put it to use. I used it to pick up tissues, soda can, paper, pillow and my cell phone! It worked great. Just the right length, the soft rubber on the gripper didn’t scratch my phone and was able to pick up a piece of paper on the floor and it didn’t crush the soda can. It was sturdy enough to pick up my pillow. It is awesome and my husband is happy he doesn’t have to pick up all the little oddities I dropped. Very well priced.

Lightweight but effective
I had back surgery and have not been okay since. I depend on this stick just to perform daily chores and maintenance of home. I chose this one because it did not bend. I’ve had awful luck with those. Upon receiving product, I was a little skeptical at first because it felt to lightweight, almost cheap. I was worried it wouldn’t hold up to the tasks. I was WRONG, it has done a great job so far! No performance issues, no flimsy issues. I just wasn’t used to the feather weight like quality. I 100% recommend this, especially to those whom may be older or handicapped and need lightweight items. If the stick breaks or ends up defective I will update accordingly. So far it has withstood every day use for over a month.

CQ Grabber
My dad is over 90. He uses grabbers for everything from reaching items to helping him put on his pants. Typically the grabbers we have purchased in the past last a couple of weeks only. The trigger breaks or the rubber on the handle falls apart or the strength of the grabber isn’t there any more. But this one!!! This one is the best! It’s strong enough to grab heavier items and the handle is comfortable and the rubber is good. I won’t buy any other brand again. Save your time, frustration and money and buy the best CQ products.

It is already broken! A "pin" fell out at the base of the grabbers.
Bed-bound daughter needed it.
