Very good notebook to use if you're hoping to practice your Japanese writing skills - specifically writing Kanji. Feels great writing with a mechanical pencil. The notebook is oriented towards writing vertically, so if you're intending to use this as a learning notebook, just keep that in mind. I haven't tried it with a brush pen to practice calligraphy with, but I do think it will likely bleed through the paper if you do. I wouldn't have that stop me from getting this notebook if the layout is what you're looking for. Certainly a good buy with lots of pages to go through.

Like others said, it's not a book bound in the Japanese fashion, the pages don't tear out, and they fold over somewhat awkwardly (after a few pages it's difficult to write on the bump formed by folding the pages over). The paper doesn't seem very thick, you can see pencil marks through the page vaguely and I imagine it would be even easier to see with a pen. All of that said, I bought it to use for writing practice and memorizing katakana, and it's been fine for this. The margins are big enough to write pronunciation for kanji etc.

A fairly simple, basic notebook for writing practice in katakana and hiragana without fear of ruining good paper. No frills, paper weight is like notebook paper. You can practice and make mistakes on here without feeling like your characters have to be perfect. Pencil is the best for this notebook. It's a great way to write & remember stroke order. Great for anyone looking for basic genkouyoushi paper without any frills.

With a HUGE amount of space to write, this journal will help you with memorizing hiragana, katakana, and kanji. The guidelines are helpful and they don't waist space on the paper for additional(s). You just open up the book and write down your character(s).

My favorite journaling book. Made beautifully and simple. I have purchased multiples for different uses. I use it for doing my staff schedule for work. Another one I use to work meetings and it also makes a great gift for others who are looking for some special and beautifully made.

Caderno para prática de kanji. Quadriculado em todas as páginas, papel branco. Atende ao propósito. Papel com espessura boa; tinta de caneta comum não atravessa, mas algumas canetas-pincel (fudenosuke) ficam um pouco visíveis do outro lado.

Notebook et papier de qualité. Très utile pour s'exercer à l'écriture des Kanji. Je l'utilise avec les stylos Zebra Sarasa Clip 1,0mm et ce n'est que du plaisir. Je conseille ce produit.

Me gusto la calidad del papel y las lineas estan bien definidas en las orillas y un poco mas palidas en los cuadrantes internos asi no se pierden los trazos que se realicen y se destaque la escritura.
