Aventi Kidney Complete Powder 3.2 oz (90G)

This took my dog from mid stage kidney failure to early. Gave me more time. Gotta mix it good with wet food and i added olive oil to further mask it, some dogs don't like it. Not a cure but worked for me. Gotta do it every day, if your dog or cat is at kidney failure no matter how minor feed them pretty much whatever makes them eat the powder and eat. Give lots of hugs and love. It gave me 2 more months i didn't think i had and i am so great full for it.

My dog is stage 3 kidney disease. She would not eat ANYTHING, esp those prescription diets. I desperately found this through an article in pubmed.gov about how it helps late stage kidney failure. The study didn't mention it by name but when I googled the ingredients, this came up. After about 5 days, today my dog has eaten 5 small bowls of food that I was begging her to eat two days ago...baby food carrots, pumpkin, sweet potato, white rice, tapioca, chicken pieces and a little bit of chicken broth with nothing but chicken. I was at a loss on how to get her to eat. Can't vouch for tests getting better but it's doing something right. I'm going to try a new prescrip food in a few days if this keeps up. It truly worked wonders...I pray it stays that way. It has calcium in it so might do more research if the calcium levels are high.

Gave this in a capsule to my cat as she won't eat all her wet food and couldn't sprinkle on.. but she had bloodwork about 2 months later and her kidney numbers were back in normal range!

I wish I had read the negative reviews, but I trusted the person who recommended this product and so I didn't. I will never know if it could have helped my cat or not (I doubt it, given the negative reviews) because I know she would never have gone near her food again if I had tried to slip this in it. I was told it was flavorless, which is critical for most cats, but I tasted it and it is AWFUL. Someone mentioned it tastes like baking soda, but I would say it's more like lemon-flavored baking soda. I can't imagine any animal that would eat their food with this in it. Both dogs and cats have a heightened sense of taste. I also purchased this based on the listing showing it was returnable. For something like this, that is critical and a deciding factor for me, especially given the price. As soon as I attempted to return it (the very day I received it), I was informed that it is non-returnable. The listing showed it was when I ordered it. Also, after reading a review that stated the product they received was expired, I checked the box. There was a label over where the expiration date should be, so I checked the bottle. Sure enough, it's expired. Adding insult to injury, this contains Maltodextrin! I won't even eat that. I'm going to feed my sick cat that? DO NOT BUY.
