Coating: 100% Polyurethane / 58% Polyester cationic. 10-YEAR WARRANTY. ADJUST BACKPACK. 1 - Loosen all the straps (straps, hip belt, load adjuster straps). 2 - Put the backpack on. 3 -Tighten the shoulder straps. 4 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed. Place small items that you will need during the day (e.g. sunblock, map, glasses, etc.) in the pockets. LABORATORY TESTING. We conduct laboratory tests to validate the components: fabric, buckles, straps, foam and zippers, etc. A final test on the finished product simulates the kind of treatment to which it will be subjected over several years, to assess the strength of the assemblies: the backpack is loaded with weights and placed on a dummy that replicates thousands of fast walking movements. PRODUCT TESTING. Our design team imagined, thought up and designed the Quechua products in France, at the foot of the Mont Blanc. We test them in the field with other hikers to make sure that they are comfortable and durable. Whether it is Brittany or Corsica, we visit as many locations as possible, in all weather conditions. These field tests involve lots of discussions, which are very useful in getting your feedback and planning our future collections!

Perfect for, I daresay, even 3 hour hikes...
Pros:-great weight distribution for a person like me who has been searching endlessly for the perfect bag that doesn't give me intense shoulder pain-can hold clothes for 2 days, a 40 oz insulated bottle, toiletries, thin towel, ipad/laptop, chargers (laptop and phone chargers both fit in the hanging compartment for me!), 3 pomegranates, flashlights, watch, walkie talkies, misc items-big sister form of the quecha 10L, which I absolutely love-over 19 attachments on front and back, including thumb loops!-durable-low cost-pairs ok with the 10L if you sling it on over- you just look a bit funny (:-really pretty (purple and green one- the other ones look a bit odd imo)-great as a day pack or as your main luggage for a short trip-can adjust the top to hold it closer to your backCons:-sternum strap goes under my chest for a person my size (5'2, 3/4), but I just use that to steady my flashlight when gallivanting about at night (on rare occasion)-doesn't stand up on its own-doesn't perfectly integrate with the 10L for travel, although in my opinion they make great travel buddies if you can swing it!-the attachments sometimes get in the way of opening the bag, so just watch out which ones you attach stuff to or you can just move it (:-limited color options
