Very nice design from DC. Buy these.
I use these daily as a regional airline pilot. Specifically in the CRJ, these work great. I was looking for something that packs up small and lightweight for the pilot bag. These do the trick. Very comfortable after hours of use, in fact I hardly notice I am wearing them. They clamp down with just the right amount of force, and I can wear sunglasses without digging into the side of my head due to the smaller profile of the ear muffs like I have had trouble with Lightspeed Zulu's in the past. Noise reduction works great and it's hard to believe these are not over the ear muffs they are so good. If you are thinking about purchasing these, just buy them, they are worth the money. I cannot comment on how quiet they are in GA aircraft, but I imagine it would be fine as well.

Completely satisfied - at least as good as the competition for 25+% less
I fly an Embraer Legacy 600. Great aircraft but they are not known for having the quietest flight deck. For the last five years I've used a Lightspeed Sierra ANR, as I felt it was just as important to have the passive, over-the-ear protection as it was the active noise canceling. During this time, I've also had the opportunity to try the original DC Pro X, as well as both the older and newer gen Bose headsets. I did not find the ANR of the first gen DC Pro X to quite be up to snuff when it came to canceling out the wind noise on the flight deck. The Bose both worked well, but their center hinge was extremely uncomfortable for me after anything over a couple hours. The Lightspeeds did an admirable job of quieting things down AND were tolerable on those occasional five+ hour legs, and ten hour days. This bring us to the new Pro X2. Out of the box I took them on a recent trip that started with a four hour west coast run, followed by another hour and a half to Arizona and they were outstanding. Comfortably light with no clamp effect, excellent sound clarity, and noise canceling at least as good as their more expensive rivals. The wind noise up front may have been slightly greater than my old over-the-ear Sierras, but if so it was barely noticeable. Finally, no complaints from my co-pilot regarding hissing or other noise through the intercom. All in all, quite satisfied. I know in this day and age the DC/Bose rivalry is like Ford V Chevy. I just can't say that the Bose are significantly better than the DCs, and they're definitely not three-hundred-bucks better. It's DC for me.

Terrific upgrade from Telex 850s
I recently purchased these to replace my Telex 850s. While these are more pricey, they are still cheaper than a lot of other ANRs. So far, I find them a lot more comfy than the 850s with much better noise attenuation. They might not be as comfy as a set of over-ear models, but it's been a nice step up for me. My ears don't hurt from the clamping force. The headband is very nice and comfy. They are quiet. And they are small enough to not take up too much room in my flight bag. I do have to worry about having batteries on me all the time now, but I guess that's the biggest draw back.

Mostly good.
I have been using this headset now for six months as a B737 captain. Noise cancellation is very good and battery life is good. It is comfortable enough to wear for hours a day with no problem. My one big complaint is that the top head piece is relatively heavy and the headset falls forward off my head when I look down and backward off my head when I look up. It has been very annoying. My solution is to wear the headset over a ball cap to keep it in place. Just my experience with it.

works like a charm
I just completed my first 4-day trip since purchasing the new DC-Q2 headset. It worked very well. The sound quality and noise cancellation was very good. The headset was comfortable and light on my head. I experimented w/ the Blue Tooth mode and found it worked amazingly well. The BT input cut out immediately when ATC communications can in without missing a single syllable. The blinking 'On' light is bright at night but can be turned off by sequentially pressing certain buttons. It is a little awkward to do at first, but I am hoping it will become second-nature.

Fits and works well.
For the past 25 years flying EMB-145s (very loud) and B737NG/Max (loud) I’ve been using a Telex Airman 750 with foamy earplugs underneath to good effect but finally got sick of the earplug thing. Bought the DCPRO-X2s two weeks ago and after 37 hours of flying with them I can say that I’m very pleased. Very good noise attenuation (way better than Telex 850 I tried) and great comms with ATC and the F/O over the intercom. I haven’t used the Bluetooth other than to try it briefly but the sound quality of the music was pretty good too. Still on the 1st set of batteries (2800 mAh rechargeables). I haven’t tried the set in my Mooney, but as it’s not designed for that sort of thing, I don’t expect great success there. I was initially worried about the reviews that mentioned it sliding off the head when looking up/down but I haven’t had that issue (I’m follicly challenged, so ball cap during the day and bare mellon at night). I may have just the right lumps on my noggin, so your mileage may vary. DC makes quality stuff and they stand behind it. (I still have and use my H10 13.4s which I’ve had since before there were panel mounted GPSs in piston singles). I never write reviews but I’m so pleased with this set that I thought I’d throw my 2 cents in.

Bluetooth Controller Damaged, Screws are Removed
Well I wasn’t able to test the headset on aircraft, because I had to return it immediately. Recieved a device with damaged bluetooth controller and screws are removed or broken. Controller case that protects interior circuits is loosened. I may order a new one soon; it feels nice and comfortable when you put on. Not sure about the ANC since it’s not a over-ear headset and doesn’t provide passive noise-cancelling, maybe if you are looking for a premium noise-cancellation; you should look for over-ear versions instead of on-ear. I’ll add further information when I get the new one.
